Yep, I control finances and whatever we have left over after the bills are paid, we each go do whatever it is we want to do, plus all 3 of the kids get to go do something they've been wanting to do. It all works out for the best.

It has been decided in my marriage that I will be the one who controls the finances because I'm the better one for the job. My husband will have full access to the checkbook (s) and accounts, but as far as the actual check writing, and the mailing of bills, that will fall to me. We both will be a part of major decisions concerning the finances. I think in the world of managing marital finances, each spouse should know their place and then things should work pretty smooth.

I control all the finances in the home and I am a woman. My husband likes it like that because I am very good with money and I like to pay off things very quickly. He also likes it because it is one less thing he has to worry about.

Mostly myself, but only because my husband prefers not to deal with the finances. We have both taken turns at one time or another during our 34 years, this just seems to work for us.

My husband is a stay at home dad and I work. I create our budget and we both go over it. We both look over our finances together and make decisions together about where our money goes.

I write all the checks and pay the bills from our join account. He would be lucky to write 2 checks a year

we both do, he pays the bills but I keep track of all expenses. Do it jointly, that way you know where the money is being spent and are not shocked by unexpected purchases.
