My ex and I started dating 8 months ago. I was his first girlfriend (he and I are both 25) and his "first". We would never fight, and we had everything in common. Recently, his married friends started telling him that he was "next", meaning he would be married soon. I know he is not ready for that, and neither am I, but it freaked him out. When he dumped me, he said he didn't see us as long term, but two days before he was joking about what kind of engagement ring he wanted to buy me. We had talked about moving in together, but not for at least 6 months or more in the future.
I was devestated when he broke up with me, and I am having trouble dealing with it. His mother (whom with he is extremely close) emailed me and said "I don't want to give you false hope, but I don't think this will be the last you hear from him."
It's been 2 weeks now, and I tried to call him, but I got his voice mail. He will not call me back, or answer any of my texts. I miss him a lot. What do I do?

About 3 weeks ago I was told my ex boyfriend whom I almost moved in with a few years ago died. I don't know how he died as I've lost contact with his friends & family after he broke it off with me & told me he didn't want to get so serious. About a year later I swallowed my pride & made contact with him, he seemed so happy to hear from me & we organised to go out on a date. But that didn't eventuate as I met someone else. So the last time I spoke with him was to tell him I'd met someone else so woudn't be catching up & wished him well. It's been 7 years since we last spoke but he'd been in my life off & on for 23 years. I really thought it might have been 3rd time lucky for us but got swept away with someone else & got engaged. I keep questioning my feelings, I'm dreaming of him some nights, it's like he's with me, I don't know what to do, I visited his grave & lay flowers, I've cried, I don't understand why I feel like this given the years it's been since we spoke. Pls help.

How far in advance do I need to do this? Our wedding is October 27 of this year and people have already asked me where we have blocked rooms. I thought that it was too early for that. And how does that work? Do I need to guarantee a certain number of rooms for the hotel to offer a discount or do I put money down?

I have been punched, scratched, bitten, screamed and cursed at by my 12-yr-old step-daughter. My new husband (of 6 months) has the child staying with a family friend until June. I left my first marriage because I was abused for 7 years. Now I find myself in basically the same predicament. It didn't get better until I left the first time. So, if my new husband is going to allow this person to return to our home, even though we both know the abuse will continue and most likely escalate, then is my only other option to leave him (I have 5 children of my own to protect)?
Also, we tried to get her put into a respite foster home, she is in serious therapy through partial at school and home base. The cops don't care, they said get a no-hit PFA on her. I don't see how that will work when all it does is punish her afterward (she doesn't learn from punishments!!), it doesn't physically restrain her from touching me. So, any other options? Or should I cut my losses?

I am married with a guy that... is a little aggresive from my criteria. I am disorganized, i have always been. When we met he knew i was messy. He lived in my apartment for a couple of months, and i didn't do anything to hide my messyness. But anyway he married me.
Now he blames me, and makes me feel sooo bad everytime the house is not organized. He can scream at me, at he always justify his behaviour because... i am the one that creates the problem.
I swear now i try to make thing neat, ans he is happy when i do it. But somedays i don't feel like it, or i am busy, and i find myself fearful to imagine how he is going to react when he comes home. His reaction goes from putting a bad face to scream.
We have been married for 11 months, no kids. He helps me also at home. I don't think he is a bad person but i do not know if he will be able to change. Or probably i am the one who is wrong?
What should i do?

I started dating a man long distance and after talking for three months visited him for the first time since we met when he admitted to me that he had another long distance relationship going on for years that was dead end. He told me he wants a real relationship and I think that he and I have a chance, I plan to relocate to his area within a year and know lots of his friends. This other woman will never relocate and his friends do not even know her. However, he isn't breaking it off with her yet. Since we have only been together officially for one 3 day visit I don't feel I can give him an ultimatum to end things with her. He could have lied to me. He hasn't told her about me. We had a great time on the visit and he calls all the time and we are supposed to get together again in about a month. Am I asking for heart ache? It just seems to me that she couldn't be that important to him and he will end it after he and I have spent a little more time together. We are in our 40's.
