In Europe most gilrs want to be tanned, in Asia it is the opposite. I'd be interested in why it is so important for Asian girls to have fair white skin? What does it express in society? Do boys like it? If yes, why you think they like it?

After all these years I've finally managed to put it into words: my dad is a control freak and a bully. He used to hit me regularly but it was his emotional abuse that made my childhood miserable to the point that I used to hide in my room and fantasise that I was adopted and my real family would come and get me soon. I'm now 50 with 3 children, living on the other side of the world, and he is STILL trying to dictate my way of life to me. My mum is 84 and he dominates her completely, always has. She would never say a word against him or go against his orders. He is 83 and used to be a school principal, so he's used to unconditional obedience. I actually found it a huge relief to admit to myself (which I did the other day after one of his insulting, nasty emails) how much I dislike him. But should I ignore his controlling and bullying and carry on phoning and emailing him and my mum just because they're very old and won't be around forever? Or is it okay to just accept my feelings?

I have a friend (girl) who is turning 24 soon and I don't know what in the world to give her. I was planning on a $100 gift card to one of her favorite stores but I think dats a little bit shallow. I'm the eldest among the four siblings and i'm the onlyt teenager in the house. it sucks because u have no one u can relate to with some things and what's worse is that I have 3 monkey-like siblings (the youngest is 8 years younger than me) and the next one, second to me,is a 12 year old annoying sister who keeps on messing aroung with my stuff without my permission! She would usually open my drawers when i'm not around and read my notebooks (i have tons of notebooks at home 'cause i love writing).

She's such a ....! I never do that to her stuff but she keeps on messing around with mine! What should I do? talking to her or my parents won't do any good (i've tried that already).

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for a year now. and for some reason i dont think i like my boyfriend very much anymore... at first i was madly in love with him, but after a while he got old. all my friends say he's ugly and i should dump him, but i still have SOME feeling for him or else why would i still be with him? or is it because im afrade of being alone? i dont know what to do? was my first kiss and EVERYTHING else there is a first for. but it's gotten so bad that i dont even want to hold his hand in the car anymore. i keep getting in fights with him so i dont have to see him. i feel so bad. but i really dont wanna hurt him, and at the same time i still want a boyfriend... I'm 5'9", weigh 160lb, I actually run, and try to keep a good appearance (if you look good you feel good). I'm involved in intramural sports, I act as liaison to prospective students, etc. But that doesnt change who I am. I'm a dorky guy who hasnt had a girlfriend ever. I try to talk to girls but I get nowhere. This has been going on pretty much all my life. I actually go out with people who are pretty good, something about me puts them off. My friends dont know, but I'm just bummed out and on weekends I usually just play video games.

FYI:
I'm actually finishing up a PHD, I'm 29. Never get past the first date.

Why cant a woman love sex & everything about sex without people looking down on her? Im 35yrs old & I love sex mostly with younger men. My girlfriend and I have been seeing each other for about nine months now. I found out that she cheated and lied to me during the begining of our relationship. I can deal with the cheating, that part I can get over. I cant get over the lies. I seem to question everything thing she says and does. She and I are on a break now because of the way I question everything she does. This behavior is not normal for me and is actually scary to me. We have been best friends for 3 years now and later that will play as a big factor. I started liking him as i got to know him more and eventually i told him about these feelings. Unfortunatly, he turned me down telling me he only saw me as his best friend for life. This shocked me because he constantly flirted with me and i thought for sure he liked me. It took me a little over a year to truly get over him because i loved him and i knew it because he caused me so much heart ache...that i had never felt before. I can honestly say i am finally over him now but at times i find myself getting a little jealous when he talks about over females. i think thats only natural, he was my first love. BUT HE STILL FLIRTS WITH ME LIKE CRAZY! we were talking tonight and he said he thinks me and him are going to be one of those bestfriends who "hook up" later in life. i cant accept that he only wants to be my friend. corner and that's the first day that I'll get to see him! I want to plan something really special but I'm not good at being creative! We have been dating for about 2 years (plus the one year that he's been overseas) and he means the world to me.
