For the ladies: Can you translate this for me?
Met a girl who trained me at an old job of mine. Ever since, we'd have deep convos where she'd usually call me, and confide in me about a lot for hours on end. She also would laugh at things I didn't mean to be funny, and was apologetic alot when she didn't need to be. She would also call me up during a holiday and also spent 5 hours on the phone with me the other night, apologizing saying how she had been busy because of her job.

She does have a boyfriend though, that's why I'm not pushing it. They been together for 4 years, but she'll tell me that it's not the greatest, and when she goes over there she makes it sound like its a night job rather than spending time with him. She also says to me that she's faithful.

What is it that's going on......exactly? Is there more to it than can be assumed already?

BTW, here relationship is on the outs and she's telling me she's getting rid of him soon. I asked her to my work's christmas party, which she apologetically never got back to me about even though she told me she definitely wanted to go with me. The other night I told her I liked her more than a friend, and she said "Thank you" then my phone disconnected. She called me back THREE times. Saying that she wants to talk to me about it. She also told me that things are still bad with him, but definitely wants to talk to me about it and that I didn't make her feel uncomfortable at all. She's trying to call me this weekend she says.

What is going on?

UPDATE: I recently told her how I felt, and she greeted that with nothing but LONG silences on the phone. She then tells me she cant' think of anybody else right now but her unstable boyfriend because last time she didn't keep her focus on a failing relationship, lots of bullshit came out of it and she doesn't want to complicate anything.

Does she like me? How come when I finally called her out on it in a tactful but firm way she was dead silent? And how come she wants to talk more about it and is telling me I can tell her anything about it? When I asked her if she had interest in me she said "Well, we do have a lot in common, but I can't think about that right now"

Ladies, what's the deal?

We're sort of in a staying together for the kids (not interested in discussing this point) and she probably wants to bolt as soon as the youngest goes off to college. I'm hoping this is just a lousy phase in our 20 plus years marriage.

My first instinct is to just pretend Val Day doesn't exist. How do you think the day should be handled?

my husband and I are talking about having kids. I really want to have kids, but my husband comes from a bad family background. He's got a lot of issues. He won't talk about them with me or refuses to get help. He says he's capable of dealing with it on his own. His life is better now. So he doesn't want to think about the bad times. A lot of times when we argue, he gets so angry that I can't handle it and I worry how a child would deal with it. also because of all his problems growing up he isolates himself and tries to isolate me. so I'm worried that the same will happen to our kid. Should i be worried about these things? is it okay for me to feel this way? sometimes I feel horrible that i have these feels. please help!

I am going through a bad breakup right now. My X g/f and I were pregnant and she lost the baby due to miscarriage. She found out during the pregnancy that I cheated on her when we were going through really tough times. She has since moved out of my house and back home with her parents. The breakup was real bad. We talk everyday and she even came to visit me last week and stayed the night. I think about her all day while I am at my office. I can't sleep at night, thinking she might be back with her x b/f before me. My chest hurts all day long, right above my xphoid process. Is this serious? What could be causing this? I am also having a real hard time concentrating. All I do is think about her and how I screwed up so bad. It hurts when I breathe in and it has been hurting since last night. What is wrong?

I've been seeing a guy long distance for about 3 months now. I have known him for quite sometime as he was a family friend but previously only said about 20 words to him. We live 10 hours apart and have seen each other atleast once a month. We started out texting like crazy, our jobs allowed us to do this. We'd text all day until 1-3am in the morning and start all over at 8-9am in the morning. We averaged about 3000 texts a month. The last couple of days though the texts have died significantly. He almost never texts me and only replies minimum when I text him. We both have free texts so that isn't it. I feel like crap. I ask him if things are ok and he says yes. I just feel like he's blowing me off. Is he becoming uninterested?

New boyfriend, not sure if im aloud to have one? im 15 1/2 he just turned 17 last month so theres not that much age difference
we like each other alot. We have been dating a week and my parents hang around the school alot so im pretty sure they will find out soon being maybe tonight ahhhh. I went to the bathroom (#2) and I forgot to flush it. My girlfriend went in there to do whatever she had to do, saw it, and threw up in the toilet. She didn't flush, either. Now neither of us can get into the bathroom because it smells so bad in there. On top of this, neither of us is comfortable around each other because we disgust each other. We've been sleeping in separate rooms. How do I prevent this problem from ruining our relationship?

Alrighty, so I have a little bit of an issue. I have this *amazing* boyfriend. I've always been the type of girl to stick up for something I believe in. I am very much apposed to smoking* (not cigarettes). I have never done it, nor will I ever. I don't like being around it and always told myself that I would never be with anyone who does. And of course, I'm not with this amazing guy but unfortunately he does, although, it's not all the time anymore. Even so, when he does, I find myself getting upset and having an attitude with him. I don't know why and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions???

My friend is being abused by her mother and she won't tell anyone. She told me that when her mother is drunk she beats her and when she comes to school with bruises. She makes up excuses. Ok, my husband says it's time for me to get a job OUTSIDE of the home after being home for 6 years with our little AUTISTIC daughter. I soooooo don't want to!! Our daughter will go to 1st grade in Sept. so she'll be gone all day allowing time for me to work outside the home. Problem is, I REALLY WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR HOUSEHOLD INCOME, but I want to work FROM home! My girlfriend has a fear of PDA and it makes me sad. When most couples say goodbye to each other, even if in public they'll give each other a hug or a kiss or both.
