I am going through a bad breakup right now. My X g/f and I were pregnant and she lost the baby due to miscarriage. She found out during the pregnancy that I cheated on her when we were going through really tough times. She has since moved out of my house and back home with her parents. The breakup was real bad. We talk everyday and she even came to visit me last week and stayed the night. I think about her all day while I am at my office. I can't sleep at night, thinking she might be back with her x b/f before me. My chest hurts all day long, right above my xphoid process. Is this serious? What could be causing this? I am also having a real hard time concentrating. All I do is think about her and how I screwed up so bad. It hurts when I breathe in and it has been hurting since last night. What is wrong?

ANXIETY. It's serious enough to ruin you if you let it. Slow deep breaths through your nose, out thru your mouth, remain still and don't panic, that makes it worse. Guilt is a ***** but it's a good lesson process. Give it time, you'll get better. If you drink or smoke stop until the pains go away. Try talking to your doctor about low dose anti depressants until you get over the hump. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

First, you need to get your blood pressure checked to make sure it's not something wrong with your heart. I know a guy who actually had a heartache, related to the stress of a divorce. If not, you are likely having anxiety issues and seeing a doctor about medications for anxiety and depression would probably do the trick! Hang in there!
