Now, I'm a nice guy. With that, a stereotypical view of me probably enters your mind saying "he's just a shy loser". No, I don't have self esteem issues, and I'm not shy. So tell me this, Yahoo! Answerers, why is it that women go after the cocky asshole that ends up going into an abusive relationship. I've heard answers like "Girls just like a challenge" or "nice guys aren't interesting", and I really wonder, why not? What makes nice guys so damn unattractive or not as interesting as some guy who won't notice them? Oh, and I've also heard answers like "They want to change the cocky guy into someone more like me", so please, try not to put these quoted answers in your answer.

how can a girl meet a decent guy. i am looking for a smarter guy, one who is not sleezy either. i live in vegas and i'm 17. for me there aren't many oppertunities for parties since i don't hang out with the party group at my school. so any suggestions as to where to find a decent guy?

I'll be graduating and going to college on a full scholarship soon. My boyfriend is 20 and has a good job that could support us both. We want to get married and live together where I'm going to colllege (he has good job opportunity there).

Living together and not being married isn't an option because of our mutual beliefs.
My parents want us to wait till I graduate from college but I know that there is NO WAY we can wait that long.
Mutual friends and mentors (including a marriage coach who is a family friend and knows us well) and his family support the idea. Our pastor believes we are too young, however.

Should we gat married the summer before I start collge, after my first semester, after my first year?? (I will be skipping my freshmen year of college and entering as a sophmore with credits I earned in high school).

We wanted to wait until marriege to have sex but continue to slip.

I'm getting the feeling that my boyfriend is considering proposing, and I want to know if it's just me, or if other logical people also think he's about to.

A week ago, we were semi-jokingly discussing engagement, just teasing each other a bit. Well, then he stepped into the other room, and casually called to me, "So, what kind of ring would you want?"

Then, earlier this evening, we were at a bookstore, and I saw this little Q & A book about how well a man "knows his bride", so I picked it up, and started asking my boyfriend a couple of the questions; I stopped at one point, because he was browsing books, and he turned to me and said, "Ok, well, what's the next question, then?", as though he were really interested in it. Then, he asked me if I wanted him to buy me the book, and I told him that was okay, but thank you, and he said, "I'm buying it for you, anyway", and he did.

We've been dating for 10 months & friends for over 4 years...I'm 22, he's 24...what do you think?

my bf and i quarrel all the time. it is getting annoying. He calls me names and talks about what other girls call him.....and it's annoying.....he gets mad when i get mad.....i know what most of youmight tell me " leave him" and ive tried that any times...but i find myself back wit him withing a couple of dayz. i dont think itsnormal to quarrel so much and be in love...could i be mistaking dependency as love?...could he be confusing lust with love?....i really do not want to waste my time ......would u sacrifice for love?

I am a 30 year old, single male. I am a smoker, though I know I should quit. I also have asthma. Over the past 3 years, I have developed what I guess is a smokers cough. I notice I cough alot when I wake up in the morning and sometimes hack up alot of yellow flem too. In the past year, I notice I am coughing alot at night now. Sometimes I cough in my sleep, and it drives the girls I date crazy. It wake them up. Some of my girlfirends are really trying to get me to quit. I smoke about a pack a day. What could this be, and is this really a turn off for girls? Do girls like guys who smoke? I have never thought of these things before until now.

My hubby and I decided that I would stay-at-home with our son until he at least started school. This meant we had to make some sacrifices. We simplified.....only had 1 car payment (he had a truck that was paid for), and everything worked out fine. He went out and purchased another vehicle that's 4 yrs old already....paying 400 a month for it.....and with an outrageous interest rate. He didn't even consult me. Now I have to work full time just so we can make ends meet because of all his spending. Plus we will have to pay for childcare. He thinks its no big deal - I'm furious!! We should have made this decision together! He thinks I shouldn't be upset about this....what do you think?

My husband has sole custody of our children because I was in an accident which separated me from them due to hospitalization. . He is not abiding by judgement requiring him to provide access (telephone #, address, email). To fight him in court, I have to travel 900 mioes and I am disabled, making it hard for me. I represented myself out there last month. His goal is permanent custody. The longer he keeps me separaterd from them, without relationships - the better it is for him. He has kidnapped my kids. I haven't been able to speak to them on phone since June 2004. He has moved them through 3 cities. I have only been able to track them through the schools. I'm not from there (were on military posting there) and have no friends or family there. I don't qualify for Legal Aid - have been denied 3x. Legal clinics haven't helped. My member of parliament said could not get involved in court matters.

Well,,,,i'm not exactly what u would call "the most popular girl in school"....but i have friends so i'm happy.....a have a best friend who has made a couple....ok, more than a couple enemies.....and once my she told me that she heard someone say....the only reason people don't like her (my best friend) is because she hangs out with me....so she said "i can't really hang out with you anymore...."

i was devistated,,,sooo sad,,,,i couldn't believe that she rather be popular than to be my friend....she was supposed to be my best friend....... i told my other friend exactly what happened....that friend blabbed the story all around the school.

the next day my best friend said sorry...and that she wants to be my best friend again....i forgave her and we are friends now but sometimes i wonder if i can really trust her? how will i know if her friendship is for real or if she just became my friend because she didn't want the school to think shes a jerk?

I made a mess with a guy but now I am clear. Is it a bad idea to have any cleavage showing? Will I come across as slutty? It's been awhile since I've had a first date since I just came out of a very long relationship. I was in a relationship with a person who seems like she two personalities. When she loves me, what I believed was her normal personality; everything is fine, even to the point where I wanted to marry her. On the 10th of December she ended our relationship and now she wants to continue like nothing ever happened. I believed our relationship ended on that date so I don't want to get back with her. When she ended it, with what I believe was her other personality, she is very cruel. She said things like, you are a liar, a hypocrite and you have disappointed me. I don't need you. And that's just a sample of her cruelty. I love this person and I haven't done anything to her to show her I'm like that. We met 5 years ago and at the moment we live in different countries. She visited me for three months this year and it was to decide if we would continue or end it. We decided to continue, live together and get married. but there was still one thing I was missing. We both knew that it was. Should I still pursue a relationship, or & look for someone else. Everything else is perfect. The way they look, personality, interests, goals, etc.
