My younger brother is going to be going off to the navy in the spring. My car is slowly dying and he has offered to give me the bike since he won't be able to use it anymore. I am in college and really can't afford to get a new car and it is something that I have wanted since i was fifteen.

My girlfriend though is vehemently opposed to the whole situation. She thinks it is the worse idea ever. Does anyone know the statistics on how dangerous a bike is compared to a car?

Also what is your overall opinion on the whole situation?

This man lives in another State and is the liaison for my program. We got emotionally involved and admitted we were attracted to each other but I told him I wasn’t ready to date because I just got out of a relationship. Even so we continued to get to know one another and talked about our families, goals etc..and flirted w/each other.

One day we were on the phone and another call came in. When I answered, I told the other person “wait a few minutes and I’ll be down to meet you”. I got back on the phone with him and apologize. He asked "who was that?" I said a friend. He said, okay I‘ll let you go, sounds like you have to get going.

Now he no longer asks me about myself and seems to be avoiding me. When I call and leave a message I always describe the work related issue. He doesn’t return my calls unless I force the issue and then he says he is busy. I end up feeling like I am bothering him.

Okay (i hope you have a minute)...

My best friends wife up and left one day and told him it would be best if he moved away to another town to make it easier on both of them. She told him to cash in his 401K and sign the papers to refinance the house so that she could use the money from both items to pay off all their bills and pay off her car and his Harley (which she had in her name).

Now the problem is - she gave him none of the money from the refinancing or the 401K. He moved to another town and the divorce papers were sent to him with a note from her saying all he had to do was sign because their was nothing to contest and no custody issues. He signed the papers and now she is holding the title to his bike unless he gives her $500.00 a month towards the mortage on the house (which is only $800.00 a month). By the way - she lives in the house with her boyfriend.

WHAT CAN HE DO? She sent him a letter saying that she was going to reposes the bike from him unless he pays!

My friend sells scarpbooking stuff. I ordered some products for Christmas in September, I already paid for them, however she keeps making excuses of why I can't get it off her . she had a dog die, her mom got married was in an accident which broke her leg, and now may be pregnact. I have 2 children one is 4 and is Autistic the other is 5 mths old and is allergic to milk so I have to watch my children carefully.I wrote her a letter telling her to keep the money , to keep the stuff and just to leave me alone. She called me and was all upset I aplogized and felt bad she said she would send me a check I still haven't seen it. and now every time we talk she says I upset her, like my feelings don't count I hate to be mean to her but I really feel used and don't know what to do.

A guy I liked really seemed like he liked me back. I go to a small high school where there are 2 "popular grls", not vry pretty just pplar, neway, evry guy in our class likes them. okay my dad is the hardest person in my family to get a Christmas gift for.........he doesn't like any sports including fishing........the only thing he really likes is music because he plays bass guitar but i can't get him anything for that and he has all the cds he wants and i cant take him to a concert because no band he likes is playing anytime soon and i dont think he would go anyways...........any advice???!?!?

don't make enough money at all to even rent an apt. My parents are great support, but we have way to many arguments about who the actual parent of my child is. My son is supposed to sing in the Christmas pagent at our church with me. He fought the rehersal tonight and cried. We were bribing him and doing everything we could to get him to stop crying but being nice about it because he is very tired. My dad came up and just yelled at him until he cried worse. My son reached the "gaspy" cry stage and wasn't going to be able to sing until he calmed down. My dad turned to me and said I suggest you just give up on this he can't sing (he knows the song backwards and fwds). I looked at my dad and (I am usually really really passive about the actions they take) and said I suggest you butt out of it and go away! He walked off all offended. My friend took my son to calm him down. I stayed crying myself and my mother defended dad. Am I wrong to have said this? How should I deal with this now?

Okay, so I have a neighbor two years older than me. He's been my neighbor for two years. New neighbors moved in a couple months ago with a girl a year younger than him.
Yesterday I saw them and it looked like they were going out. I mean, he was touching her a lot more than he does me.
So I asked them both at different times what was up and they both said they were just friends.
Are they going to hate me now for getting in the middle? Was I wrong in doing that?

I've been married for 7 years & we have 2 children, however, after an accident that almost killed my husband he has taken on a mean, **** the world, my way or no way attitude. He is very short tempered now and has done some stupid stuff because of it. I am no longer enjoying his company & am only still here until our daughter gets out of school for the summer. I am miserable, have told him this many times, he thinks I'm giving up & all I am trying to do is find happiness. Am I wrong for wanting to leave him just so that I can get my life back together & be happy...for me & the sake of my children? We've tried counseling & that only worked for a month or so. I don't want any more relationships, just happiness. Any advice or comments?
