A guy I liked really seemed like he liked me back. I go to a small high school where there are 2 "popular grls", not vry pretty just pplar, neway, evry guy in our class likes them. I thought this guy was different, but no he likes them too. Ouch it just really hurts... Why do guys have 2 be so shallow?

Because it is in their genetic make-up to be attracted to something they never have a chance of getting.
That, or the compitition of being with the "queen bee" is becoming an overbearing social pressure for him.
Have a chat with him. Tell him how you feel. If he doesn't feel the same way, who cares? There are PLENTY of fish in the sea. You'll get your happy ending. And when you do, it will have been worth the wait.

"Some" guys seem shallow because they just want to fit in, especially in high school. Not all guys are like that and most will definitely grow out of that phase after high school.
