I sent this to a friend of 2 years and she freaked. She had some problems with a couple of her friends ignoring her. I just wanted to say that I wasn't like that. Did I mess up?

If I could catch a rainbow, I would do it just for you
And share with you it's beauty, on the days you're feeling blue

If I could make a mountain you could call your very own
A place to find serenity, a place to be alone

If I could take your troubles, I would toss them in the sea
But all these things I'm finding are impossible for me

I cannot make a mountain, or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best, someone for you who's always there

Standing by, every day
Here to help you find your way

Just being there through thick and thin
All just to say, you are my friend.

no you didn't mess up at all. i think it was a sweet thing to do. maybe you friend is resentful because it reminded her that people are ignoring her. although that is silly. if anything, she should be hapyp about it. maybe tyhere is an underlying problem. talk to her about it. and if she blows you off, maybe the friends are ignoring her for a reason: maybe she isn't a good friend.

I think you should ask her what upset her about it... I personally didn't see anything wrong with it, but who knows... Could be she was just having a bad day and nothing could make her smile. If she is that good of a friend, you should be able to talk about this.

I'm not sure what you mean by "freaked out." However, if something as mild as this freaked her out, maybe she has problems connecting (and staying connected) to people. That would explain other friends ignoring her - or maybe she's actually ignoring them.

Yes, you might as well put your gonads in your purse and leave town. I'm pretty sure you were trying to pick up on the rebound. Good luck with that now Nancy

Heck no that sound good. If she got mad or something it's cause she wants you more than a friend.
