This man lives in another State and is the liaison for my program. We got emotionally involved and admitted we were attracted to each other but I told him I wasn’t ready to date because I just got out of a relationship. Even so we continued to get to know one another and talked about our families, goals etc..and flirted w/each other.

One day we were on the phone and another call came in. When I answered, I told the other person “wait a few minutes and I’ll be down to meet you”. I got back on the phone with him and apologize. He asked "who was that?" I said a friend. He said, okay I‘ll let you go, sounds like you have to get going.

Now he no longer asks me about myself and seems to be avoiding me. When I call and leave a message I always describe the work related issue. He doesn’t return my calls unless I force the issue and then he says he is busy. I end up feeling like I am bothering him.

He sounds like a big baby. He probably thought you were meeting another guy and got his widdle feelings hurt. Complain to his boss if he doesn't return calls in a timely manner or just use email and copy his supervisor in on all of them.

Call his supervisor and tell him/her that you need information, you've left X number of calls, but you haven't gotten a response. The guy shouldn't be messing up your work (and his) over something so goofy - but don't mention that part to his supervisor. Act professionally.
