okay my dad is the hardest person in my family to get a Christmas gift for.........he doesn't like any sports including fishing........the only thing he really likes is music because he plays bass guitar but i can't get him anything for that and he has all the cds he wants and i cant take him to a concert because no band he likes is playing anytime soon and i dont think he would go anyways...........any advice???!?!?

well, welcome to my world with my father!! I have had this same delima for years, here are things I have done for him, maybe somthing would work for you, one year I made him his favorite pie and included in that as the gift was a homemade pie every month for 1 year, you could do 6 months, change it for what ever you would like, another year I made some homemade jams, gave him gift cards for a dinner and a movie with his daughter- This is what i have found, Dad's just like time, effort, love, and to know they have not been forgotten. even though somtimes they are tough inside, they really are like us, soft and tender, somtimes it takes years like mine did, but he got there! I would say try somthing from your heart.

I don't know how much money you plan to spend, but you could always get him a gift certificate for a music/music supply store in your area with a card saying..."I wanted to get you something you really wanted so I decided to let you pick it out" or something like that. If he writes his own music, you could get him a book of music sheets to fill. For some reason, Dads are really hard to get gifts for. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Make him a gift basket of stuff for maintaining guitars. Like polish, strings, paper for writing tabs, a new strap, etc. And a gift certificate to a resturant he likes.

Well you can get him T-shirt with his face on it and put "The Best Dad Ever" of course what every you would like to say. Or the family one it with a saying that is the best thing to get its personal and no one has one.

Get him a framed photograph of yourself done by a professional, I would love it if my daughter got me one. My sister got one done, it hangs right above my fathers chair.
