stay with men that abuse them. I'm talking about all kinds of abuse: physical, mental, emotional.

I have several friends that are in in abusive relationships. They are attractive and fun, yet they stay with these stupid ankle-biting guys. Is it a sickness? Are they just stupid?

They don't have any real ties, like marriage or children. I have been telling them to break up with their boyfriends, but they always have some lame excuse why they can't. I have listened for hour upon hour to incessant bitching, yet they don't actually do anything about it. I'm starting to get annoyed...

At what point can I tell my friends that staying in an abusive relationship is like asking for it to occur. At some point, its the woman's fault for not leaving. It sounds mean for me to say that...no one actually "deserves" to be abused...any kind of abuse. This is just insane...

Any advice...what can I do about it? How can I make some one see what they are unable to see?

If a guy had a chain that hung low, had shiny grillz, talked ghetto smack, wore big-@$$ jeans way below his waist, smoked crack, etc. would you date him? If a woman had weave out the frame, had long-@$$ fake nails, swerved her head and finger, wore clothes 2 sizes too small, wore too much blue eye shadow and had a baby with no baby daddy, would you date her?

I'll try to make this short. My sister is engaged to a man. His ex wife left him for another man that she met on the internet. She went to live in another state and left the 2 boys with him. Now the boys are having problems, especially the oldest (hes 14) He wants to go live with his mother in this other state, but his dad really doesnt want him to. The big problem? The son has started cutting himself on purpose and tells his friends that he hates his dad! The mom is some gothic person that has turned this boy that way also.The dad has a problem with him going because he doesnt want to pay her child support. She is the one that left to begin with and now he's having to deal with all these problems. He is a wonderful dad and loves his kids more than anything. I should say that he wouldnt mind paying child support but he has a good job, and she doesnt so he'll end up paying alot. Does anyone have any good advice for him? Should he let him go?

Hi this is my first time out here ok heres the scenario i am 25 and hav been with the same man for 7 yrs. In the beginning everything was great but now i find that eventhough i kno i should leave him i don't .My bf verbally and emotionally abuses me daily if not hourly calling me names from whore,****, cow,pig,*****,worthless piece of **** fck face you name it hes said it.On top of all that he accused me of cheating everyday .when i go for a smoke at work im cheating if my phone line is busy im cheating. He even stole my house key and i live with my parents. He gets very upset and almost violentile when hes mad there is no talking to him. he's like a crazy person and im seriously wondering maybe there is mental illness involved. I cant have friends. I can go out . I have no life anymore He has ripped me as a person into shreds I am not the same person i used to be. I feel battered without the bruises . I honestly hate him for everything he has done why am i staying around opinions?

well my friend kayla liked this dude michael who has all these girlfriends and flirts with them...he even flirts with me! when my friend kayla is goning out with him. one day he was flirting with this ****** sara and she saw them and she got mad at him. we went home that day and when we returned in seconed period she said" i cut myself after what michael had done to me." then she said "i might dao it again tonight." and i'm really scared. we just just got out of school and i was thinking about how this girl at our skool died from doing that. she cut to deep and i'm afraid tonight its gonna happen to kayla.i can't really tell her parents.i can'y go to her house. because my mom won't let me go anywhere and we live far away. so i'm sitting here scared and i want her to stop right this minute i'm really scared. i saw the cuts on her arm.

I was in a relationship where Imy boyfriend moved away for college recently and we saw each other only once a month, but recently we got into a big argument and he broke up with me b/c of third parties who broke us up. He said it wasn't my fault and he wants to be on his own right now. We broke up over messenger and well I can't see his face or hear him and he didn't want me to visit him. Just the day before he was telling me he loved me and wanted me to be over there for good. Well..I talked to him last night and he said that I can still visit but he won't give me another chance because of habits I had such as being too much for him like being late and well he said that I can visit but he knows it won't change anything and he wants to be friends. My friends said it was because the pain of being in a long distance relationship became too much for him becasue when he was home...he saw me everyday. What do you think? He said he will keep in touch..but he didn't tell me how he felt.

my and my fiance are getting married this month, we were just going to get married at the courthouse while his is on leave from the military, but his mom wants us to be wed in a church. Though its a great idea and alot better than a court, but i get really nervous. I dont like big weddings with alot of people, id much rather it just be me and him and our mediate family and than a big reception. I dont know what to do, i dont want to get so nervous and become the runaway bride..hehe..help me!

I am always getting lip from my BF every time we go to bed. I like having one blanket to myself which I wrap up like a cucoon in. It bothers him, because he thinks I am wrapping up so he can't touch me. I am just more comfortable sleeping that way, its cozy and warm. Anyone else sleep that way or am I that strange?

I'm currently in college and my girlfriend and I have been dating a little over a year. Yesterday on the networking websites (facebook.com) I read one of her messages and which said something like, "You look like an actor I know. You are definetly a cutie." The next message said something like, "You are totally a hottie, I want to get to know you better."

This morning I told her I found out and wanted to break-up and she broke into tears begging me not to. I wanted to break-up, but I couldn't stand seeing her crying while begging me, so I made a deal that I can either have her passwords or I can whenever I want hook up with any girl I want. With that settled, I don't feel good either way because I am not the cheating type of person no matter what and I don't want to have to feel like I have to monitor all her incoming e-mails and messages.

What should I do?

I was out at the mall today and saw men buying things at victorias secret, jewelry stores, and nice perfumes at the department store, walking a round with nice bags with things obviously bought for the women in their lives but it seems every guy I meet is a cheapskate. I dated a superrich guy who never bought me anything, and yes he still expected something from me (you know what I mean) and every guy I have dated has been too cheap to even by my anything at valentines day or christmas or my birthday. It seems to be a trend, is it me or am I just getting bottom of the barrel men? I am not talking about being a gold digger , a little thoughtful gift would be nice and besides other women get them. I know alot of people will say they don't buy stuff till they get to know a woman and date her more but those same guys are trying to get you into bed from date one so they aren'lt into waiting for that. Does anyone else have this same problem?

My husband and I are still trying to rebuild our marriage. He has his own apartment but stays over often. I am having a hard time trusting him, and when we fight, he leaves and goes to the apatment.

One day he said he just wanted to get through the holidays without fighting or causing problems. He also said that after the holidays, something would change.

The next night, he ended up sleeping over and acted as though nothing happened. Then the next, he's back at his apartment not being very talkative when I call him.
