Your local priest can help with this and you would be married in a church. You could get a cheap and pretty wedding dress at a Davids Bridal for like a hundred bucks and normally priests dint want payment just a donation. Tip him a hundred bucks and you got yourself a church wedding, a family and friend crowd and a nice dress for less than 300 bucks!

Maybe have a small cermony somewhere (courtyard at the Justice of Peace?) and then spend more of the money on the reception. Find a hall, rent some table and chair covers, find some students to DJ the event for you if you like music.
Ideas to bring down costs:
A lot of times students in Photography will take free pictures in exchange for the prints. So you may be able to find a free or even cheap photographer if you find a local school that offers a program.
For the brides makeup - any department store can do a makeover, or if there's a local beauty school find a promising student and usually they'll do it for free as well in exchange for a photo for their portfolio.

I live in the mid-cities area, try visiting a few of the local parks and see what the scenery is like. FTW botanical are very pretty but i think they charge there. you can get a JP to come to you for about $100...so find a public park but that maybe has a place off to the side.
Botanical at Heritage Park in Grapevine allows small weddings and receptions and its a great place! My mom does photography there for people (portraits, senior pics, engagement, and wedding)
GOOD LUCK!!

Type into your search engine your city state & wedding officiant. You should have a few to choose from.
I have a friend near Corpus Christi that performs marriages. Her site is called Weddings for all; bit I'm not sure the distance relation where you are to where she is.
Anyway any officiant in your area should be able to help you with a place. Give it a shot.

ok, how many people, if you keep the people down for the ceremony like below 12 i think it is, you can do it anywhere from your front yard, to the middle of the street, even in a friggin mall, or grocery store, with out needing prior paperwork.
dont do it in a mall or grocery store, but a park, or back yard, beach, lake, something like that.
as far as the party, invite everyone to a big cook out, have friends and family support you by making a few dishes to pass around, and borrowing outside chairs etc.

Can you borrow a friends backyard or have the wedding at a state park. Keep the wedding list small and the keep the details simple. I am sure you can have an affordable wedding that you'll remember forever.

It is cold out right now. (I live south of Burleson) but you could have a small wedding in a park. Trinity park is pretty. How about in your home of the home of a friend or relative. We got married in my husbands seconds cousins house. It does not matter where. Love is all that matters.

try a local chapel. the are nicely decorated and more formal than the justice of peace but do not have the typical wedding price. or you could always go to las vegas or mexico.

As a friend or relative to host it, or consider having it at a community park.
