Been married and divorced but in recent years that one illusive person has illuded my life. I have made every attempt but in my case the women I do meet have had major issues in the past and carry this baggage with them in any new relationships.

you might be a martyr! sounds like you are looking for someone with your heart. use your head, too! you need to find an emotionally stable woman - not someone who needs you because they are in distress. i'm sure you are a sweetheart and a woman will be very lucky to be with you, but make sure the next woman adds something to your life. a strong, independent woman is someone you can fall in love with - and they will not drain you and take advantage of your sweet nature.

Any more I think everyone has some sort of baggage that they carry into a relationship, from kids to an ex. Its just human nature any more. Stop looking so hard and the right one will eventually come along and take you by surprise. Good Luck and Happy Holidays.
