The ONLY reason to get married is because you love each other and want to be together. If you marry because of pregnancy you're looking for trouble. One or the other will start to feel tied down, taken advantage of, you name it. Usually it's the guy and he starts to resent the baby because he feels trapped. Even if the couple stay together for a while and even if they have another child the marriage seldom survives the long haul. Both partners are miserable and they make the kid/kids miserable, too.

NO NEVER! let me tell you why that is not a good idea almost every marriage the starts with someone got pregnant always ends in divorce! I have a child with my boyfriend of 3 yrs and she is 3 months and we are not married because we both love eachother and always want something to do with eachother but we are both not ready for the commitment and we know it and we want to get married someday but we both don't know when that is and also have other things we want to accomplish before that as well. DO NOT get married because you had a child with someone because i'm 98% sure it will end in divorce or someone in the relationship will not be happy at all.

NO! A good relationship should never be rushed or forced. If you hasn't planned on getting married before then getting married for the sole reason that a child may be involved is not a good idea. I'm a father of two. both are from different mothers, just because i was never married to the first's mother has not defined me parental ability. Marriage should be something that you both want without any other reason other than to just be with that person.

Absolutely not! A child or children is no reason to commit to marriage. If you do get married for the sake of the child and do not love her, you will only resent the child in the end.

No, you should only marry if you love the person, pregnant or not. Because if you marry without love, then your marriage will never last. Just take care of your baby, and if you and the father of your baby fall in love later then marry the boy!

No. Marriage should only occure when two individuals are in love and can't imagine life without each other. There are plenty of ways for a child to grow up well balanced with two parents that may or may not be together.

i don't think you should marry just because your pregnant or got someone pregnant. what if you don't want to be with that person?? you should make a relationship work for the baby's sake. he/she didn't ask to be brought into that situation

Marriage should be about love between the man and woman. It should never be done for the sake of a baby.

I hope its not you in that situation. If you dont want to get married for good reasons, getting married because you're pregnant will not work out anyway; then you'll have to go thru a divorce.

Good luck

No, that's basing your marriage on your child which is unfair to that child. The "sin" has already been committed and marriage won't change that. It would be different if you were already planning on getting married.... my husband and his first wife were pressured into it and their whole marriage was fighting, lies, infidelity and making each other miserable.
