Do you think people are happier (or more fulfilled) now with so much technology or do you think people were happier when they had to do more of the work themselves? Why or why not?

this girl is feeling annoying like she jumps in your face and randomly says hi. and she randomly stares at me like she wants to eat me.

This is our first Christmas without my Dad. He died February 17, 2006. I'm dealing ok with it (I have my moments). I'm worried about my mother though. They were married for 60 years & he was her whole life. Now I worry about her becoming depressed over the holidays. She lives 150 miles from me, but I went to get her for Thanksgiving & she spent a week with my family. She seemed a little distant & withdrawn. We truly enjoyed having her around, but she kept apologizing for "being in the way". She wasn't in our way, but these comments really hurt me.
We bought her a small tree & set it up in her apartment when we took her home & she seemed happy at that moment. But when we left she cried & that really bothered me. I just want her to be happy.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there anything more I can do for her?

i've been in a 6 year "relationship" with a guy i've been friends with all my life. the problem is that when he was seeing me, he still met other girls and i knew all about it. i used to cry all night cause of that. i told him that he is treating me bad and asked him to stop doing it. he promised he would, but he never did. i tried to end it many times, but somehow i fall for him again. my friends are always telling me to get over him, but i feel that i can not live with him. i tried to be strong and changed my number so as to loose all contact. however, after a month he came to me, told me that he can't live without me and that he'll never find somebody like me in the whole world. i tried to move away and not listen to him and then he said, its useless to run away cause whether you like it or not we will get married someday and he started to describe how it will be. he came to kiss me but i left and when i got home i cried my eyes out. shall i give him another chance?

I have a friend, who is arabic, and he keeps making statements about bombing different locations. Most of the time he is joking, but sometimes he sounds serious. I've seen him blow up a car before, it was REALLY cool, but scary. What should I do to make sure he isn't serious?

My boyfriend has 3 children with his ex-wife. We have been dating for 2 years, he has been divorced for 3. They share a bank account "for their children". He says they both put money in it periodically to use for the children. This bothers me because if him and I were to ever get married he has an account with another woman regardless of the reason. He pays monthly child support to her (ALOT) and his kids all have pre-paid college so I know the money is not used for that. Am I wrong for being irked by the fact that they still have a joint account?

Were involved with the police. I have to make a phone call to try to get him to confess. He lives with my parents. My parents know my brother tried but it didnt get that far. Turns out it got much further,involving mouths. My parents are angry and on my side but Im sure they expect me to "let it blwo over". Theyll be so mad,Im sure. I wish I could give them heads up so theyre not shocked with cps or police show up. Were very close. But if I tell them theyll give my brother a heads up and there goes the case of trying to protect other kids from him. Im not happy Im doing this,I was very close to my brother,but this is unacceptable and my son needs to know speaking up will give him results. What am I to do about my parents? How do I keep cool when they put the heat on me?

They are mad because I didn't let them get in the pool and swim during my pool party. Would you have, I mean it's not sanitary to allow girls in a pool when they have an open wound that discharges through out the day, cleaning itself they say. If it's cleaning itself then the discharge is the nasty stuff they had in there and it'll be al over the pool water, that's just gross.

It's all about self control. If you are intent on fulfilling your sexual desires before you are married, most likely you will engage a sexual partner. Relationship after relationship after relationship. The more people having sex outside of marriage indicate more people lacking self control. The greater your chances of marrying someone without self control. When you are finally married, sex becomes the most important part of the relationship because you have never exercised self control in this area. Either, or, both, the husband and wife's expectations of sex in the marriage are never met, thus infidelity happens......ponder that for a while...

continues to drink from the 2 liter (sp) bottles of coke I buy for the family instead of getting a glass. I had fallen asleep on the couch last night and this morning he obviously thought I was still asleep and I watched him tip up that bottle and take a drink!!!!! My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4.5 years mostly long distance but in the same city too. After graduating in May, I moved home & he has been living at home for 2.5 years (he is 25). Since then, we have been working with the distance and seeing each other once a month. I have an office job. He can work from home anywhere. The arrangement works fine, but I am tired of the distance. I want to live in the same city. I suggested he try living in my city, but he says he does not like it. So, I even offered to move to a place we both like. He says he loves me but he is not ready to move & leave his friends/family. He also said he not sure if he wants to marry me. He feels moving to a new city/living with someone means marriage and I told him I didn’t feel that way and I am not sure I want to marry him either, but we would never find out if we don’t take the next step. I feel like the distance is never going to end. What do I do? Give Deadline- what Timeframe? Breakup, Wait, What?

Her long-distance boyfriend is on a trip visiting her for a month, and is 1. jealous of her puppy and 2. taking it out on her, saying that he doesn't like dogs and she didn't include him in her decision enough. Its bringing other issues to the forefront that have been dormant, but basically its coming down to the dog or the boyfriend.

Keep in mind this dog is 5 months and (in my opinion) fantastic.

ok so he says wsup to me everyday "fools around" with me in language arts and became a good guy friend. popular football player at school. someone found out i like him and started rumors that killed our friendship suddenly. he didnt talk to me for a week, stares at me when im not looking, tries to casually get my attention in class(like, walk by me on purpose), and goes to his locker just so he can see me after school. and usually, when we were friends, he never went to his locker. i may have gotten myself a stalker lol [[:
