im going to desh to live with my partner and we are then going to get married the problem is none of my family want me to go and all of my family are all thinking that im going to be killed i mean how stupid is this

no matter how big or old you are family always seem to think they know what is best, but you have to follow your heart and do what you be happiest with, keep in touch by e mails or letters and phone calls and send lots of photos and visit each other just so every one knows the other is doing fine, and if it doesn't work out then at least you can say well i gave it a go, we learn from our mistakes and I'm sure your family have made some as well, just tell them it is what you really want to do and you would like it if they supported that and if they can't they could at least keep their opinions to themselves and let you live your dream and be there for you if you need them, that's what families do they support each other....good luck i hope it work out ok

Why would your family think your going to be killed, that's a bit melodramatic! why have they got such concerns? but it is your life, so do what you have to do but try not to loose your family over this, men come and go, blood is thicker than water! When you move, phone your family regularly so they know your ok, they will probably then get over any concerns they have.

they must have there reasons, People in love can't always see what other's can in their partners. but trust your family, Mine are always right. My dad's girlfriend is loathed by many of his family, yet my mum was and still is very much loved by them. the reason: his new girlfriend is a dozy ***** and my mother is caring and considerate. trust them with your life, they may be blowing it out of proportion, but they still have a valued point I'm sure.

You can't!!!! Good or bad, family is always either going to have a say, want to have a say, or will say weather you want them to or not. Listen to them, then do what you feel is the best thing for you. After all, it is YOUR life. Good Luck!

if you are old enough to leave then they cant stop you really, but they do care about you, they are worried about your well being...that what families do...they care..you need to sit down and talk to them and tell them that in order for you to be happy, then they must accept that you are going to make a new life and should be happy for you

as its your life and as it is that they are not going to marry to your partner so feel free of whatever you want to do.Why don't you speak with them and explain everything in a way of logic like it is gonna be your own happiness.And you know however they do not want it ,they will change their mind after you got married,it might take long but it will.Good luck

they are probably just concerned for you, when you are a parent, it doesn't matter how old your kids are you will worry about them till the day you die, my sons are 18 and 24 and i still worry about both of them, tell them you appreciate their concern but you will keep in contact with them on a regular basis, just try to put their minds at ease, good luck with whatever you do

ask your family would they rather you be unhappy staying with them resenting them for the rest of your life or happy and with the person you love and want 2 spend the rest of your life with.you'll guilt trip them so much they'll have to just let you go

well there just worried for you. But..... your grown and if you didnt know what you were doing you wouldnt be doing it. Tell them they can either agree with you on this and love and support you and be apart of your life as well as his or your going to get married anyway and if they cant support you well then thats on them there just gonna have to get used to it.

tell them that this is what you want to do and as your family they should be supporting you or that is none of their business and if they try to stop you, you will find a way to do it anyway, and to stop interfering, it is your life after all.
