my bf and me have a great realtionship and everything and he has always been supportive of my swimming career. a week ago in the mail i found a letter from this place in cali! they want me to swim there with them in some competition! i was so excited and when i told Rissy he freaked out and said that he cant go because of his musical try outs and i dont want to go alone! my friends rudi and cindy have a town house out in cali about 20 miles from the comp is. we have been so suportive of eachother and now we are at a huge rift. he says if i go then that means i dont care about his music. (he wants to go somewhere in life with it) i care but i have to follow my dreams right? what should i do?

I don't know why... but I just do.. and see.. i have a girlfriend she's a stud and I love her.. but see.. it's this other dike and she keeps messing with me and my friends say she be checking me out.. I use to like this girl until I got back with my girlfriend.. but when she flirts with me.. it turns me on.. but how can that be when I love this other person I am with.. I mean... I know that i love this person for my own personal reasons.. and for that I keep pushing that girl that keeps hitting on me away.. but something I don't know what it is but something is making me want to do something to that girl.. other than that all I think about is my lover.. I love one person.. and that one person only.. but I just can't seem to understand what is this feeling I am feeling with this other person...

My bf of 3.5 months, whom I love and who loves me, recently told me he found out his ex has started dating again. He said it surprises him that he feels jealous. My bf doesn't have much experience with girls...he's 23 and I'm his 2nd serious girlfriend. He used to be a seminary student, but decided he didn't want to be a priest.
Since then, he's dated his ex (he dated her for 3 years) and me. He says he knows for sure that he loves me. He's even told me he could see us married someday. It's crazy because we haven't been dating that long, but we spend everyday together (we're law students and in the same classes), so I feel like I've known him forever.
Now, however, he's worried that this jealousy might mean he still has feelings for his ex. He said he needs to go home (to MN, we're in VA now) for Xmas and see her to know for sure. I'm worried he might want her back, but he told me last night that was pretty unlikely (i.e. he dumped her for a reason).

Should I believe him?

My boyfriend will be turning 19 in January and yes I have already started planning his special day! My only question is .. is it a good idea to invite some of his close friends (maybe 3 or 4) to a nice sit sown dinner with us or should it just be the two of us?

I was at a party on Saturday night. I got a little drunk, and I was talking with a guy friend that I have known for about a year. On Monday, we exchanged some funny emails about things that happened at the party. One of his emails made reference to me saying some things that he surprised him. I knew that I was being bold and flirty, so I emailed him back and asked him if I propositioned him and apologized if I said anything inappropriate. He emailed me back and said the following :
"I don't recall any propositions...but it is flattering to know that the risk was there."
How do I interpret that, and how do I respond ? I might be interested in having fun with the guy. I know he is married, so please don't read me the riot act, just interpret for me.

I want to get a gift for my sister-n-law and her husband ( just to stick it to them ). They deserve something really really rotten ( too long a story to get into now ) It has to be something that looks nice from the outside ( no bags of poop )..but that really actually sucks. I was thinking of an unactivated gift card. But there has to be other fabulous ideas. help.

First off, let me say I was homeschooled until graduation and left for college an extremely naive, kinda dorky kid who tucked in t-shirts with a belt.

Long story short, it's now 3 years later and I'm almost nothing like I used to be.

Now here's the problem, there are things my mother does, things I didn't notice when I was younger because I accepted them as common behavior but now they raise some concern.

1) I broke the news to my mom that I'm planning to move into an apartment with some of my friends. Her reaction, she stomped out of the room, and screamed through the house "you've broken my heart!" for the rest of the day. I finally gave in when she started crying. (I'm thinking i should have stayed firm)

2) The pet nicknames, which I can't stand. She calls me things like "butt munches"..."lovey"...."sugarboy"...and has been known to do it in front of my friends.

3) She was yelling at me about something and I was sharp with her. She then locked herself in her room and cried.

My Dad was 60 when he passed. He was a loving, gentle Dad and husband. He was the glue and the life of our family. Funny, larger than life man. He told me before he passed that he wanted Mom to marry again. But he would like to be "cold" first. (off branded humor) My Mom was always the head strong one while my Dad was the loving, family always first one. Mom distanced herself from us (me and my 3 brothers) after the funeral and started going to the bar alot. Then she came over one day and asked if it was ok if she stared dating. I told her I was uncomfortable with it but I knew she was lonely. She married my Dad when she was 17 and she is 52 now. Well it wasn't a week later when my message machine about blew up. It was my brothers calling to tell me she was moving a guy in. I know my Dad would cringe. Even as adults we were not allowed stay overnight at our parents house w/a BF or GF unless we were married,my moms rule. She knows this is killing us, but doesn't care. Any advice?

I've never made out before, and it's going to happen soon I think, but he soesn't know how inexperienced I am, and I'm afraid he's going to push for more, how would I get him to stop that, but not get offended or put off or anything? At what point should I tell him to cut it out?

This morning I mentioned to my boyfriend, I might want to become a teacher. He quickly responded "You could never be a teacher, you couldn't handle it." As far as I am concered I am completely capable of doing so. I got mad/upset because no matter what I feel like persuing he should be supportive and tell me to go for my goals. He said that I was "overreacting, and blowing it out of proportion.", when I continued to be mad about this. I don't feel wrong for being hurt about this. But am I?

so here's the short...while hanging out last week i met someone and we seemed to hit it off. we spent the entire evening talking, laughing and being silly. we went to his place and although it had been agreed that no sex would occur, we did have a pretty hot and heavy make-out session. he told me that he had just dumped his girlfriend of 3 years; and i thought "great" because me and my boyfriend had just broken up, too. but when we were at his place, she called him about 10 times back-to-back. i just thought maybe she was a little crazy.
so...fast forward to this past weekend. i called him once and there was no answer, so i left a voice-mail. he hasn't called me back. i'm already guessing he's not too interested but am i jumping the gun? should i give him a little more time before i delete him from my life forever? also, does it sound like he and his girlfriend never broke up? i'd really like to see him, again, but i don't want to chase him; especially if he has a gf.

Damn, I never thought i'd ever resort to this thing. but. there a girl I know we've known eacthother for like 2 weeks. she's very playful. very friendly. I really like her. I think she likes me too, but I'm not sure, I can kind of guess just by the way she looks at me, also how we hug everytime we see eachother (real hug, not the half assed one arm hugs). I want to ask her to be my girlfriend, but I'm not exactly sure how, it's not something I can just ask. I dunno. I'm just trying to figure out how to find out if we have something, she's gorgeous, and I really like her. Please help :)?

My husband's ex wife left his kids for a few years til she came back. She and my mom in law still keep in touch. She asked for the kids, but she should have come over to our house instead of keeping in touch with my mom in law. I think it should be between my husband and his ex wife, his family shouldn't interfere us, but my mom in law said she loves her no matter what even though my husband told her to back off. What should I do?
