Unfortunately in some cases I believe this to be true. But I also think there are plenty of restaurants that go solely on personality.

Listen babe, if you are packing too much pudge you need to avoid the fudge. Sexy is best, but if my waitress is funny, pleasant, and just damn good at her job like we all have to be, then I leave a nice roll of bills. I do not think that you are fat for one- that is a misperception or society hang-up. I love a little bounce to the ounce myself.
Anyway, sweetheart, the thing of it is, you want to look good for yourself and not for people in restaurants- those rude SOBs can't tell the difference between a jockstrap and a rubberband.
Cleavage is the way- if you can't sell other assets, then I think boobs make a nice appetizer when ordering.
Good luck with the pursuit of your happiness!

You have to be nimble and quick to be a waitress. You also have to breeze between tables without knocking anything over. It figures that slim people are lighter and more agile. Sexy over fat depends really. Some pubs don't hire sexy barmaids because of the trouble / provocation / sexual harassment thing, whereas they might consider someone fat. Supermarkets tend to hire fat people in my area.

Looks really don't matter to me when someone is serving me, it is more so upon how well you do your job. Being hot doesn't constitute a good enough reason to tip someone 15% if they don't do their job. Although, most employers would probably take a sexy waitress over a fat one, but you probably don't have to worry too much about that unless you are applying to Hooters.

Lol, ummm I guess in some cases they do go for sexy girls rather than fat.. but why are fat people always associated with being ugly?? I've had plenty of waitress jobs and i wouldn't say I was gorgeous or anything.. although I am slim... it doesn't mean I'm sexy!!

Well it's all a matter of presenting yourself. There are a lot of sexy, bigger people so don't be too hard on them and call them "fat". Sexy can be fat. As long as you have the confidence to go with it. Sexy is confidence. And if you have that, you can be anything. Good luck :-)

I prefer non-fat waitstaff. A very fat one will remind me of the calories I'm consuming plus it's harder for them to get around in a crowded restaurant. Attractive is a plus. Sexy in a mostly male environment but not very sexy if there are couples & families. Competent & friendly are the most important attributes.

i notice when i walk in the types of waiters and waitresses that are working at the place and the stereotype is the same....young, skinny, and sexy. For males its about the same...young, built, and sexy.
Depending on the place, it helps to look that way to get the good tips from the men ;)

i am a waitress and im not sexy...im not fat but looks have nothing to do wiyh your job..a couple girls i work with are kind of chunky but they still make good money and do there job. so dont listen to any of these losers who tell you to lose weight or that you have to be sexy. cause you dont...employers dont care how big or ugly tou are as long as you do your job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
