My husband's ex wife left his kids for a few years til she came back. She and my mom in law still keep in touch. She asked for the kids, but she should have come over to our house instead of keeping in touch with my mom in law. I think it should be between my husband and his ex wife, his family shouldn't interfere us, but my mom in law said she loves her no matter what even though my husband told her to back off. What should I do?

Avoid getting too involved and do your best to endear yourself to your mother-in-law as best you can. There is no reason why the ex and m-in-l can't be friends. The quickest way to m-in-l's heart would be to offer to help, and to demonstrate compassion and understanding.
