When I was young my mother would get mad at me and make me eat off the toilet. Is this a form of abuse? My therapist had never heard that one.

I have been married 8 months and notice my huband gives his 10 year old son more affection than he does me. He baby talks to him calls him baby and honey. Kisses his neck and tells him how much he loves him. At bed time he has to lay with him until he falls asleep. And in the morning wakes him up with hugs and kisses all over. The boy is with us 3 days a week. Is this normal?

one day she asked me if I would take her to a guy/mans house if ever she would have and affair. I told her no straight out. Next thing I know she no longer answers my phone calls nor does she acknowlege me. I now come to find out by her family and friends that she told her family, friends and husband that I was trying to break her marriage up. Which is a complete lie. Her husband was also my husbands best friend and now she doesn't even let him talk to my husband either. How do I approach the situation. Should I leave it as is or should I approach her husband and let him know.

b/c he had been joking a lot around with me sexually. The minute I told him, he totally backed off on the joking. He said that he thinks of me as a close friend, yet we remain close, and have been talking a lot, especially recently. I realize that I still have feelings for him. What should I do? I go to an all girls grammar school and every so often we have discos with the boys grammar school. So I always get excited and start making a fool of myself by saying things like "you're really fit" to boys I haven't seen before and they think I'm weird! I just can't help myself, even when I try telling myself to behave.
Please help!

- have a guy friend that i like. we slept together three times, as friends with benefits. then he said we should back off for now because he only likes me as a friend.

- when i mention a new guy i might be interested in, he seems interested in what i am saying, but is quick to point out the bad qualities the guy possesses. he gets really over-protective.

- he never compliments me, because he says he would be leading me on. but he is quick to point out all the stuff he DOESN'T like about me. It hurts my feelings and we wind up getting into aurguments.

- if i don't call or contact him within a few days, he thinks i am mad at him.

- he says that nothing i ever do will change the fact that he only likes me as a friend. that he will never be interested in me romatically at all. which stings, because i hate to be ruled out all together.

- when i mention any other girl he is talking to, he is quick to state that he isn't sleeping with any of them, just talking. "i could have anyone, but i haven't had sex with anyone else.." - which, i'm ruled out, why would i care?

anyone have any ideas here? because i am getting sick of the back & forth stuff..

My boyfriend and I have been together for a bit over 2 years. We used to live together but I've now moved away for University so we only see each other on weekends. We've been talking about marriage on and off for about a year now and about two months ago I suggested it (somewhat like a proposal, but more of a suggestion) and he said he'd like to wait a bit longer (around 3 years) so I dropped the subject. The thing is, since then he's been talking about the future a lot more, like where we're going to buy a house and where we're going to raise our kids, and last weekend he asked me to marry him, only when I asked if he was serious he said 'no'. So now I'm confused. Could he just be messing with me cos he knows it's what I want? Advice?

From reading some of these questions, it is obvious that many people feel they are "stuck" in their marriage. No explanaion needed, but how many people would divorce their spouse if they "could"( if for whever reason they think they can't). yes for would divorce...no for would not. Just trying to get a poll on how many people are in unhappy marriages.

I have been going with my girlfriend for a month now and i thought everything was great. Until she accused me of cheating with her bestfriend.
