There's this guy thats a friend of mine. His best friend says he likes me, and hes shown many signs- like his friends and him always know when I'm around, I'm the center of their attention and he constantly flirts with me. He asked me if I missed him at the school dance, and he grins immediently whenever he sees me- and constantly shows off in front of me. Recently his friends have started laughing at him when I'm around and making jokes about me and him like they know something. Do you think he likes me and his best friend wasn't joking?

Me and my ex were together for six years and we borke up on Febuary 26th 2006 and it was because of some kidding things said that was foolish of both of us to believe because it wasn't true we let haters come between the love that we had and since then I haven't heard from him until today he called and said he was sorry and that he felt stupid for what he did and he hope we can get back together but now I'm just starting a new relationship with someone new but I'm still deeply in love with him and don't know what to do please help thanx.

My boyfriend thinks that I'm cheating but I know that I'm not. His last girlfriend cheated on him with a family member. Could that be the reason, is he just insecure? A guy a used to talk to back in april, and it wasnt even serious we talked for like two weeks back then and that was it, called me out of the blue while my BF was over. I tried telling himwhat was going on but he wont believe me. He thinks that I just want to string him along. Does this mean he may be cheating? What should I do? He is always playing about me having another man and other stuff but he gets mad when I play like that with him. Should I try harder to be there for him or should I just call it quits? I love him more than I have loved anyone before and he say he loves me. But is this stress worht it?

I was 19 when I met this guy. He was 30 at the time and very charming. We were together for 2 years before I found out that he is an acoholic, emotionally abusive, a habitual liar and a chronic cheater with a long history of cheating and lying to his gfs. He thinks that flirting and picking up other girls is just a game and says he does it to keep in practice as a player. The problem is, he tends to target girls like me--naive, without a great deal of dating experience and trusting, and is very good at presenting himself as a sweet, trustworthy and sensitive person at the onset. Is there anything I can do to stop this jerk from continuing to manipluate and hurt girls like me?

I want to tell my boyfriend of 5 months that i love him, but i know that he can be skitterish around moving quickly because of some past pain.
I know that he cares for me, but i don't want to tell him how i feel only to scare him when i could hold it in for a bit.
Any signs that i could look for to know that he's ready to hear it?

Before someone says something like 'if he looks at you a lot in class' we are not in highschool we are both in our mid 20's.

I don't understand the reasoning there. If 2 men get married it doesn't make my marriage (I am heterosexual) any less sacred! In fact it doesn't affect MY marriage at all! In the long run, isn't marriage between 2 people who love each other (regardless of sex) better than hate? I have heard the argument that marriage is between 2 people who can reproduce, but there are hetero couples who cannot conceive. Are you going to say that their marriage is invalid? I think it should be a matter of choice. I haven't seen any valid reasons for denying gay marriage. (I don't consider religious conviction a valid reason, remember separation of church and state?)

Why do they feel that we shud live our lives like they do. Im a grown up adult in my late 20s and i got a piece to hear from him yesterday just because my phone bill came to x amount which by his standards is high. now this is the first time my bill is so low. usually it is twice of this. i have been nothing but nice to her, so the treatment that i'm getting from her i do not understand....the last time we spoke was the night befor halloween and we haven't spoke since. due to her behaviour, she will not answer any of my calls or call me...i feel as though we are not close anymore... and it hurts because i don't understand the cold treatment....and yes i do feel her sudden change torwards me is all behind a man....don't get me wrong i do realize she has her own life and i respect that to the fullest, but for her to completely ignore me is just childish on her part....what do you think i should do? forget about it and move on..or be the bigger person and confront her on it?

well anyway me and my boyfriend broke up i guess about 2 weeks ago, techniciall and about 3 weeks ago we had a fight and i was sayin i donno if thi si sowkrin cuz u dont have time for me. he wouldnt really comprimise and just said he liked bein with his friends this way cuz i wasliving about an hour and a half aaway. we got in that fight and i drive home i guess he took it as were done....ive been callin him crying tryin to get back and he just keeps saying things like i dont feel the same way i dont care when im cryin and tellin him i love him. i think hes tryin to hurt me and just hiding his feelings. does he really mean that crap? he moved way up north i think he was kinda running away for 2 week intervals but says hell cal lme when he comes back we can hang out, but he doesnt wanna worry about me when hes up there. he just kinda says hes done with girls and has been fed arond by them. just basically said everythign i did wrong, whta do i do i cant stop thinkin about him??

ok when he is acting like a grumpy little two year and constantly putting me down and acting me how do i turn it around.

just talkin to him and asking him to stop doesnt work. Attacking him back doesnt work.

I think college is the best time for one to get into a relationship, because once you get a job (especially away from your old buds) it becomes too late for that. I did that, put self though college without getting involved in any relationships & now I have a full-time job with steady income - but I simply cannot find a date :(

I live in NYC but I have absolutely no life. I'm 32 and I just go to work and then go home. My friends have all moved away I do not have any friends left here. I do not work with people my age and I have no idea where to meet anybody (and I'm not a hang-out-at-a-bar type of gal). It is SO hard to meet people in NYC (yes...it's crazy, but true). It's amazing how lonely it can be. Where can I make new friends? Thanks...
