Is controlling children ...abuse ?

While attending a "workshop presentation" on child abuse a corruption of sorts was noticed.

First the model used was that of 'cult-feminists' a model that attacked men, ie child abuse = men who abuse, women and children victims. You will note the polarizing nature of this half-truth.

At the workshop the 'social worker' got up and stated that child abuse begins with a parent trying to 'control' the child.

What do you think ? Is "controlling' a child, child abuse ?

Well. I dont think my husband is cheating on me now, he's always tired physically... falls asleep on the couch... he used to want to have sex with me all the time, but I always said no... which I regret, that caused his cheating ,,, anyway,,, He is now trying to work out this marriage , he quit drinking which is huge ... I don't know why he doesnt wanna have sex anymore.......... I look better than before, I take a shower 2~3 times a day... always wear pretty clothes,, I am not ugly or fat... I'm such a sweet girl ... he just turned 32 and I'm 27.. married for 3 years now... do you guys think he's just getting old? I feel bad for making him do me... I'm so confused...

I moved to new york from florida to be with the man I love. I quit my job left my entire family and all my friends. i quit smoking because he didnt like it. Just recently I asked him if he was IN love with me and he answered by saying "I dont know" So what was the point of me moving here and why did it take him three months to tell me...Should I waste anymore time or should I just leave?

My wife left me 5 months ago for another woman. She has also since dated two other guys ( I know this because she moved three blocks away, but that is another story.) She is giving my daughter a 7 year old birthday party at a kids' party place. She invited me. I don't want to go. everyone said that that is terrible.

I get my duaghetr and my son next week. I can buy her a cake and invite a couple of the neighborhood kids over then. I am beginning to feel like rent-a-husband. For the high holidays, she called me to go to services with her and the kids, I did. Then she turned as cold as ice. She then called to "plan" the birthday party. She is not inviting her man or the other men or their kids. She wants this to be a "family occasion." She can't have a family when she wants and act single when she wants. What do you think. As of now, I am planning not to go. Thanks.

Why is it traditional for a guy to ask a girl to marry him?

Why is it not common for a girl to ask a guy to marry her?

Im just wondering. I mean if both people feel the same does it matter who ask first?

Okay ... here's the situation i really like this guy ... i guess he's about 25-ish and he was chatting me up through text .. he asked how old i was and i told him i was turning 18 on friday .. he hasn't texted back .. it's only been about an hour but still ... what do you reckon .. could this ruin us getting together? would he really mind about the age gap? how about if you were the guy in this situation? I was in a Halloween parade and i wanted to be a cowgirl but didnt have a hat and i saw this guy (J) who had a cowboy hat on and my friend said i should ask J for it but i knew he would say no, so she asked the guys brother (N) and N went and took the hat off of J's head and put it on my head. (By the way, J usually calls me names, but i think he is flirting.) The next day after the parade our eyes meet and he gives me a huge smile and my heart is beating like 500 miles per hour and i am melting and i know my face is red so i smile back. Thats all that happened but he's usually mean to me so i dont no why he smiled at me like that. Do you think he likes me?

My boyfriend is turning 15 tomorrow and I still don't have a present for him.

I have no idea what to get for him, he keeps telling me that he doesn't want anything, but I don't want to not get him anything.

I can't get him anything over 35 dollars.

Hey well first off I'm not gay, bi or curious. I don't know how the hell it happened, but it did. We were celebrating the engagement, and were drinking alot. So the next morning I woke up, and my fiance's dad was next to me naked, and I was naked. I know what you're probably thinking. How do I know anything happened. Trust me I know. I don't remember everything that happened, but I remember some. I think somehow I got so drunk that I mistook her dad for her. I don't know what was up with him, but he was really drunk to. So anyway when I woke up, he was still asleep. I just got dressed, and left. I went home right away, and took a long cold shower. I can't believe what happened. I don't know what the hell I should do. I don't believe in keeping secrets from the people you love. I just don't know how or if I should tell her about this situation. I also don't know how to face her dad. I'm hoping that maybe he'll be so drunk that he wont even remember. Someone please help

its Saturday and my boyfriend and I would like to spend some time together but we always stay n and watch tv. on the couch. its gets boringgg...and we would like to know of some really fun and cheap things we can do...since it it ranin outside and its freezing too. Not to mention we are going to the movies later...but what else can we do besides a movie.. he is better at every single thing we try together than i am. in fact, we just ended a little "friendly competition" between us and i lost. i laughed it off while he was here, but as soon as he left for work i cried. why does this bother me so much? if i tell him about it he'll either feel sorry for me and try to do worse at things or think i'm crazy. he is smarter, stronger, makes more money, is more responsible, sings better, and plays the guitar better than i play the piano. i know i must sound pathetic, but i don't know what to do about this. any suggestions? or better yet-has anyone else out there ever felt the same way?

Last night while on the phone with my boyfriend he told me this: "If you can give me the answers to all these questions, then I will be with you forever and marry you". When he said that, I got silent.

The questions where "why is it so hard to be with you" , "why haven't i been to your new apartment", "what do things seem suspicious", and "why are you keeping me here".

It was like I went mute. I was so shocked at what he had said. I knew all the answers, but why didn't I answer?

Then he fell asleep with me on the phone and I fell out crying becayse in his sleep...He called my name. I didn't know how much he was really always thinking about me. I knew he was sleep because he was snoring crazy loud and then he sounded like maybe he was stretching and then called for me. I wanted to say "Baby I'm here" but I didn't want to disturb his peaceful snoring *haha*.

What do you think? I mean he cried with me on the phone and told me he wanted to be with me. I need input.
