I was in a Halloween parade and i wanted to be a cowgirl but didnt have a hat and i saw this guy (J) who had a cowboy hat on and my friend said i should ask J for it but i knew he would say no, so she asked the guys brother (N) and N went and took the hat off of J's head and put it on my head. (By the way, J usually calls me names, but i think he is flirting.) The next day after the parade our eyes meet and he gives me a huge smile and my heart is beating like 500 miles per hour and i am melting and i know my face is red so i smile back. Thats all that happened but he's usually mean to me so i dont no why he smiled at me like that. Do you think he likes me?

Put yourself in his place. A girl gets someone to take his hat and she is wearing it. Almost the same as her coming over and holding hands with him. So you got his attention.

to be truthful, it is hard to say, the love-at-first-sigh on television and media is totally different from what actually happens. because people are nervous and don't really know what to do. i think you should go up to him and ask to have lunch or dinner with you. it's a general question so just go for it. he is mean to you because he wants to attract attention from you, well that is what i do to flirt sometimes. yeah go for it! so good luck!
