and they are really sweet and you start connecting with them - then, without a word just disappear. If you try and contact them more than a couple times, you feel like a psycho-stalker and they won't contact you to tell you what happened or what you did wrong? What the heck?!!????? What's wrong with these men?

I'm not getting married anytime soon, but a friend wondered and got me wondering too...

How "correct" or "incorrect" is it to send out a mass invitation to a group? For instance, one invitation to invite the entire staff of the clinic where I work. Obviously you'd have to keep in mind the number of people you're inviting, and though its less personal, no one feels excluded and you save money. I'm sure every case is different, but is there a yes or no answer to this?

A year after being divorced from a long marriage, I met this girl. We clicked so well, I could talk to her so easily about anything. We shared a lot of interests, did a lot of things we both liked together, kind of like in a hollywood movie. In the eight months we were together we never argued, never got mad. I kept telling myself that physical attraction should not be important, but something kept eating at me, either that or it was too soon after my divorce to start another relationship. Anyway, I broke up with her. I'm trying to move on, but wow, don't know if I will ever find someone that compatible again. Did I make a mistake?

That's it - that's my question. I have a female friend that I just think the world of. We share all kinds of stuff and now I find myself falling for her. I'm not sure my newer feelings are reciprocated. I think they are, but I'm afraid of looking like a fool or making her uncomfortable. Are there any particular signs you women give out that says "Hey, I really like you as my friend, but I think I'm interested in taking this further than friendship..."

we have been together since 2004. in november 2005 we were ending the relationship b/c he was getting out of the navy and go back home to go back to college. well, the day after thanksgiving we got an unexcepted surprise. we found out i was pregnant. i told him he did not have to stay. however he felt the rigth thing to do was to stay . i had our daughter in aug. latley we have be fighting a lot b/c we both have different goals. i would like us to get married at one point. he is not sure that what he wants. next week we are moving to his home state. he knows i dont think its a great idea. we both love our daughter. he thinks if we move up there, things will be less stressful. but what does moving have to do with both want different things. he is happy of just living together as a family. i would like more in the near future. hell he cant even tell me that he loves me b/c that is a big step (that is what he said). i told him today this relationship is not working. he thinks it is.....

Forgetting her looks for a moment. The job was hardly something to admire was it? She is highly intelligent and has now retrained and has a degree. I just have my doubts and think that people could be laughing at me behind my back.

My brother-in-law is 56 yrs. old, not formally educated but quite intelligent; he is physically large (6'3" 245 lbs), self-imployed installer of sprinkler systems; he comes from a dysfunctional, abusive home, some of his siblings are alcoholics; he served in Viet Nam; he gets up at 5 or 6 a.m. and works hard till he comes home, then he literally drops. He's fat and hygeine suffers and he is a slob when he comes to house work, picking up after himself. He would let me come along behind him and clean up his messes and not think he was causing me any unfair additional work. He yells at me and is ALWAYS correct on any issue, and constantly interrupts and raises his voice if he disagrees. Yet, he is thoughtful and generous with his time or talents and effects with my children, grandchildren and my siblings. He'll drop what he's doing to help them, just not for me. I don't want suggestions for me however. I want to know clinically what is wrong with him? What does he suffer from etc.

After a crap childhood (drunk father mother who had 6 kids but only loved 3 and admits it) after visiting my brother in australia for his wedding my mother ignored my 17 year old daughter completely and 2 weeks previously she walked passed my 14 year old daughter without even recognising it was her grand daughter .She has visited my street every day for the last 8 years because my sister lives around the corner (1 of her faves) So should i finally say enough is enough and just concentrate on my lovely kids??

Ok clearly this is not a life and death issue. The problem is, he likes primetime tv shows (like Lost, The Unit, CSI) and I can't stand crap like that. I wish there was something else we could do together instead of watching the boob tube. Other than the obvious, isn't there anything newly-moved-in-togethers can do in the evenings together? I got the Playstation out be he doesn't like video games. I can do things on my own but I wish we could do some things together.
