Forgetting her looks for a moment. The job was hardly something to admire was it? She is highly intelligent and has now retrained and has a degree. I just have my doubts and think that people could be laughing at me behind my back.

Forgot to mention. She's mid 30's, same as me.

What social stigma? She is a career professional, the same as any other career professional. She has a job that many people would like because of the traveling but there is the impression by some that flight attendants are "different" somehow. Far from the truth. I work for an airline and believe me that they are, for the most part, ordinary people doing a challenging customer service job. If there is a stigma to it, the stigma is imposed by the people around her, not her.

I think you are into looking good, need to have your ego stroked etc etc.

This really is a weakness.

The only reason to go out with her is that you like her, forget job, background etc this is very one dimensional thinking. It may be a good indicator as to what she can and can't do however but it's only an indicator.

You have probably worked hard to get good or great status but people will admire you more if you are with somebody you fit with rather than someone else of status who you don't fit with. There are simply more important things.

A person has many dimensions and this is what you need to consider when choosing to be with this woman. If you like her for who she is and you could see yourself liking her in twenty years time when her looks have faded then that's a better reason to be with her.

Good luck.

p.s. this looking good thing is going to be the master and you will be the servant if you don't watch it !!!

Wow dude, you don't deserve her. If she is smoking hot, you really enjoy hanging out with her, she is your best friend, but a girl, then she is perfect. What people say behind your back you are not going to hear. Besides what's wrong with a flight attendant? Everybody starts or makes a career somewhere.

You are an egotistical pr*ck. You should count yourself lucky that she even looked at you, never mind went out with you. Ant person who works for a living, no matter how menial the work, is better than any of those who sit on their butts and collect social security cos they are too lazy to work.
You want to know why she goes out with you? Cos she is beautiful and you are ugly (at least inside) and it makes her look even more beautiful when she is out with you. Now grow up!!

Grow up loser. If she knew that your thought-process works in such an obviously homosexual manner she would be already banging the next actual man that walked by. If she is attractive then it doesn't really matter now does it? Send her over to me when you are done whining at her so I can give her what she really needs.

You make it sound like she was a hooker. What's wrong with being a flight attendant? We all have to start somewhere. What was your first job? Should she judge you by that?

Mi amigo, there is nothing to be ashamed of. She sounds smart and beautiful and you seem to enjoy her company, so even if some idiots do laugh, disregard them.
