Yes. and I always check pockets I see nothing wrong with it. A few years ago before I really started checking pockets, my husband left a lighter in his pocket. The clothes went into the dryer(gas) and I saw sparks coming from the dryer. When I opened it. I found the lighter. That is my reason for checking. It could've burnt my house down.

Yeah. I trained myself to do this. If you ever had a washable black crayon go through your dryer. You would too. Most of the time I would find things when I hadn't checked. Items would fall out on there own.
But I have found things when I was suspicious. My husband had a woman's phone number and a bill of sales to a car I didn't know about. I don't believe in invading someones privacy. On the other hand if they have done things to make you feel their untrustworthy. You need to know ahead of time. I feel that trust and respect is something that is earned especially if they have done something to break it.

I always find things in my son's pockets... especially when I forget to check them before hand! Pulling a pair of pants out and discover a melted and then hardened crayon...... Sometimes they leave money in their pockets...... Toys from school......

Nothing in my husband's pants, he is really good about that, but my 14 year old son, that is a different story. I find coins, permission slips, homework, candy wrapper, the list goes on.
