For the last few years I have really been hurting because my dad doesn't want anything to do with me. He doesn't want to spend holidays with my sister or me because we both have done things he doesn't agree with (she got pregnant when she wasn't married, and I've done some things with my boyfriend, but I've never been pregnant). I never meant to hurt him, but he says that we have brought shame upon the family, and he can't sleep at night knowing what we have done. He talks to me sometimes, but it's in an artificial tone, and he usually finds a reason to leave the room soon after. We have never been that close, but I want to have a better father-daughter relationship with him. I am going to get married this summer and I want him to be at the wedding...at this point, I don't think he'll show up, and I don't know if I can handle the situation in which he's not there when I get married. How can I help to improve this relationship? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have this wonderful guy.. The best I ever had..a wonderful fella.. treats me like a queen and loves me for who i am and nothing else.....but. im so FREAKIN BORED! I wanna date other ppl sometimes..and go on with sort of a single life while in college. What should Sheena do to save her marriage ?

Kanak is quite friendly with Kajal, his net friend. Kajal is young. The two have come to be the best of friend. More so after Kanak supported her when she was going through her letter. The problem has ever lies else where !

Kanak's wife Sheena, is not to comfortable with the whole thing. She knows Kanak has no feelings for Kajal other than being just friends, but she can not help being suspecious. Even visiting Kajal's place and talking to her has not had any effect on her. If the three of them go out somewhere, Sheena feels that Kanak is paying more attention to Kajal. They end up quarrelling. Sheena knows that what she is doing is unfair. But still she uses loses control whenever Kanak broaches the topic of Kajal. Sheena realise that their daily squabbles are taking a toll on their relationship, what should Sheena do ?

My 21-year-old son just returned home to live after being "away" for about 9 months. We have one computer and it's in our bedroom. My husband (not my son's father) blew up about my son using the computer, says he doesn't want him in "his" bedroom or on the computer at all, ever. I asked him to compromise; my son will only be on it when he's gone, so he'll never know. He said he won't compromise, and has been mad and won't talk to me every since then -- 4 days ago! I think there's more going on here than the computer. My son has been in trouble a lot in the past, and my husband knows about some of it, but he has been nothing but polite with my husband and has changed his life since his return. I should mention my husband is from Nigeria, and they have a very strict view (including beating) of raising kids; I am more liberal. I think he's overreacting. Any comments?

I keep finding recommendations to drape tulle and christmas lights from the center of a shabby reception hall out to the edges of the room in order to make it look more elegant. The problem is that I have no idea how to do this! What techniques do people usually use? Is there a best method for not damaging the ceiling? Help is VERY greatly appreciated !

My sons buddy met a girl 3 years ago who was 7 months pregnent, the biological dad was at the time incarcerated. He felt he was in love and married the girl a few weeks before she was to give birth...she asked him to put his name on the birth certificate so that baby would grow up with his name and he agreed to do this. 2 months after the baby was born he found out that she was keeping contact with her ex (babys real dad) so he devorced her. She resumed her relationship with the real dad after he was released from prison, and is still with him. He recieved a letter from the friend of the court saying he needed to pay child support, including all back support for this child. He requested a perternity test, but the judge said the perternity is not in question, it doesnt matter because the name on the birth certificate is all that counts. So the real dad and mom are laughing all the way to the bank...he doesnt even get visitation rights...a legal scam?

more off than on due to somethings that really annoy me about him. People tell me I need to be stronger and not put up with ****.
I have been in two relationships before and don't want to take any crap anymore, if I can help it. About 6 months ago I met a nice guy a party. we went out and I enjoyed myself but left him because I thought i wasn't good enough for him. Then I started seeing the last guy for a bit. not much. really just because I was lonley and need someone to hug. The guy that i left has now been messaging me to go out. He has seen my soft side as well. The last guy knows me but I feel i can't be myself because too many things annoy me about him. Is it ok if I go out with the this other guy?

I have a huge crush on this amazing girl, I've known her for about a year and a half and steadily we have become friends, she now confides in me, aks me for advice, and we always have fun together. I have never brought up my feelings for her, but she knows I like her, because she mentioned to a friend of hers that i'm in love with her. She is introverted but forces herself to be quite sociable, so things of a personal nature may be hard for her to bring up, so i would never expect her to bring up the idea of a romantic relationship. If I do decide to try to make this more I'm scared I'll lose the friendship I have with her and betray her trust. Should I say anything? And if I do what should I say?

I am a 26 yrs old Asian woman,told many times that I am pretty,smart and funny.I just recently met this Caucasian restaurant manager (he came up to me and asked for my number) and we just took off!Had an amazing 1stweek together,met all his buddies and even his dad (I was over his apt. when his dad arrived to visit from out of state).I guess coming out of a 7 years relationship,I am used to stability.So the 2nd week,I became "clingy" (I admit,I really do like the guy and "dating" or "sharing" a guy, I JUST DON'T GET IT).He told me in the beginning to "chill and relax" he likes me "a lot" and that we should take it slow."Have faith that I do like u a lot."So I've been nice to him, tried to take it slow,since his dad is still in town.At night when he is drunk he will text me all these sweet stuff like "u are nutz,but f**ken cool and f**en hot".i like you a lot,we just need to chill."But in the day time,when he is working,he is super cold to me.In fact there are days no calls/texts.Help!

My brother has been staying with me for the past seven almost eight months. I told him he could stay until he got on his feet and because I felt sorry for him. I also didn't want him to become homeless (long story). I have tried to help him to get re-established by encouraging him and getting him odd jobs. He doesn't help with rent or any of the other household expenses. He spends his money by partying with friends, eating out and buying designer clothes. He recently bragged to our Aunt that he has saved almost $2,000.00. I gave him a 60 day notice on October 1st to be out by December 1st. But he isn't doing anything to secure his own place. He just continously makes excuses about why he can't afford to move out. The other day when I asked him what were his plans. He told me he was too depressed to talk about it. I feel used and taken for granted. What should I do next?
