I stayed at a demanding job for waaaay too long because it gave me security and stability. I made a lot of money. But my kid missed me and I always had a stomach ache thinking about going to work.
After I gained confidence - through family and friends - I found another job. Don't quit the first until you have another. Yes, it paid less, but the reward was being a part of my son's life and having a life of my own.
The choice always seems hard when you're in that situation, but once you break free it's so great on the other side. I felt free and alive.

Maybe because you like challenges. You may not know it, but maybe your subconsciousness does. Or maybe you like what you're doing even if it's a tremendous drain to your family and friends. There can be enumerable reasons. But only you can answer your own questions. We are just here to help.
What's my motivation? Well, in my case, it's not work, it's studying, since i'm only a freshman in college. My motivation is to reach my goal. I'm currently taking up a pre-medicine course right now, and my goal is to be a doctor someday. That's what keeps me going. Also, I'm loving this girl right now, she's my batchmate, and we're both aspiring to become doctors, she's also the reason why I get up every morning and go to school and study.
Hope that answers everything.
Have a good day. =)

you do it cause you have no other choice ...or do u?
ever considered starting your own buisness part time..
what about taking out an extra loan and invest some of the money in that loan. Maybe you need a really good financial advisor so you can re route your goals and there your interests. You can work and enjoy it. Try career searching. That may help.

for starters, why not ask yourself if you can afford not to. If you are not yet financially independent surely you need an income from somewhere, right?. If you are not happy with your currrent job, do something about it. The main reason people are not happy with their lives or employment is because they didnt take any action to change it. I have friends who were unhappy about their lives but they took steps to change their routine, habbits and invest their time acquiring new skills and trying out new career and biz opportunities. One such person is now earning an average of $15K a month as a real estate agent and he gets to control his own time. Just do it man.

It's all about the paycheck. If you can find another one, move on. If not, keep reporting to work for the paycheck until you CAN find another one. It's all about YOU though ... you consciously make the decision to get up and go every day instead of looking for something else. Only you know the reason for that. You should try to identify your fear of moving on ... that's what is keeping you there.

You keep going to your job because life is insecure and your job is there. Yes, just like me, you could probably make it without your job, maybe even thrive, but you go to it because it keeps you going I guess. Listen - social security is going to be a joke by the time I will be old enough for it. Retirements are jokes. People go to work because they fear what life will be without it.

If I were not to earn living, I will still be doing some thing worthwhile, with my available time, preferably for human welfare.
But if I must earn living, what I brought home must help them, more than my absence hurts.
Balance is, what is hard to strike.

self esteem, accomplishment, pride, being self efficient and resourceful. To show you can be an individual and not a burden to your neighbor, friends and family. To be all you can be and find out who you are and what you want in life to make the most important decision of who you want to compliment you in life.

If you did not support your family you would be a lazy *** husband that was unable to pay his family groceries or pay for the electric bills. That would be horrible. That motivates me!
