This will be our second marriage for both of us. My boyfriend of 3 1/2 years has finally decided to become engaged to me. So why has he not told any one about this, not his friends or worse yet his family?

I found out my husband cheated on me. When I first found out I just packed up my things and left with our daughter. I didnt talk to him much the first month after i left but my daughter started asking about her daddy. He started calling asking about her when he could see her ect. Well I took her over to the house and he looked totally lost. I have talk to mutual friends of ours and mostof them say how bad he feels about what happened between us that he wants his family back that he made the biggest mistake of his life. We have talked alot lately since we split and I know that I still love him and I believe that he is sorry for what he has done but in my heart do I want to go back to someone that betrayed me. We have been together 4 1/2 years been married 3 and have a 2 1/2 year old daughter.

My ex and I started seeing each other when I was 14 ( i broke up with him for no reason). When I was 15 we went back together( i broke up with him for a good reason). Now I'm 21 and I want him back, I've realized that I don't want anybody else( if that means being single for the rest of my life). I told him I want him back, he said we could talk and see how things go. I don't know how to get through to him, to show him it could work.

I just met a girl who I have lots in common with. She was in a relationship for 2 years and 3 weeks ago they broke up. I have started seeing her, and im being cautious. My concern is what if I start to like her more and I hold back my feelings for fear of being the rebound guy. Will this automatically doom any potential the relationship has to make it out of rebound status or is it better to be more reserved so as to not scare her?

how can i handle my child's new stepmonster? From the beginning, she would not meet with me, to talk mother to mother or woman to woman about MY child's needs, and she has my ex by the you know what. My ex is a wimp and when they have custody for his 48 hr weekend, my calls are blocked so i can't know if my daughter is ok or at least say hello. he is an alkie too.
in the decree, he is not allowed to drink when he has weekend custody, but I HAVE NO WAY OF PROVING HE DOES THAT.
How can I deal with them? I do keep busy when my daughter is gone but you can only do so much-gym...cleaning...working. I don't feel like dating yet, we were divorced in feb and i don't trust men yet, maybe not for a long time. Our daughter is almost 4 and has speech prblms, but managed to tell me last week that her Tata (him) hit her and she pointed to her back. I made a police report (he wouldn't answer his cell as usual) and a dr report and told my attny. Guess what? He gets away with it--no mark. help.

I'm just sick of it and find myself longing for female companionship, especially being a mom. I am a friendly person (maybe too friendly), and think I come off o.k. Maybe I look wierd, cause I dye my hair platinum, and wear alot of eyeliner? To me its not wierd, but maybe to others, I don't know. It seems I always get the once over, and from then on am looked down upon. Women explain please? Previous to my marriage I hung out with guys, but obviously I had to change that. I'm not a man stealer, a snob, I'm not unattractive, I just don't understand.

What do I do about my best friend?
I have known my best friend (girl) for 2 years now. I am a guy. We used to be so close, and did absolutely everything together. Now she has a new boyfriend, who she told me about even before they got together. She does everything with him now. When he is not free she decides to text, phone or meet me. Basically only when convienent for her. When I try to not talk she eventually asks me to meet with her, putting more strain and hurt into me.
I am in two minds with this relationship - either to leave her to it, and let her come and find me when she is ready, or just to stay with her and feel a lot of pain inside. I try to tell her how I feel but she gets angry and so does her boyfriend. I am also jealous and feel very lost.
She is changing. I don't know what to do anymore.
I feel I try my hardest to like her now but it is very difficult after what has happened. The more time goes on the more frustrated I get and angry.
Any advice appreciated

No need to waste your energy on calling me words after you red this... I already know...
I have two small kids, caught up in my job, the housework and the care for the children. Hardly time for myself.
I have an affair (lunch or dinner for a few hours together every couple of weeks) which feels like a mini-vacation.
I feel guilty about it but I can't stop. I feel selfish and egoistic but can't stop.
My partner is innocent and sweet.
WHOEVER experienced something similare please share it with me!
Advise how to stop is so very welcome...

My wife and I have been together for 5 years and married for 2.

She is 24 and I am 26 and we are planning our first baby.

About a year ago we decided we wanted a baby, so we have been traveling a lot, spending extra time around kids, and preparing other way (replaced my car with a safer one, training our dog to be kid friendly, and doing home improvements, etc.)

We are financially set now as we finished school, bought a house, and landed stable careers a few years ago that we actually love.

We feel prepared because we are happy in our marriage and we know we are financially, mentally and emotionally stable for a family.

We really wanted to have our ducks in a row before conceiving, and we know 2007 is the year for us to have our baby!

How did you know you were prepared as a couple to have a baby?

I have this friend. She is really great until she gets a few drinks into her. She turns into a completely different person. She starts making stuff up in her head and constantly thinks that I do not like her for some reason or another. She creates problems when there are none. I have tried to speak with her regarding this but it is a little hard when she never remembers what she says or does when she is drinking. I feel bad because I would really like to continue being friends with her because like I said she is not like that when she is sober. Its almost like split personalities. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might approach this without causing WWIII? Thanks.

Why not just get an engagement ring? Ladies, would you take a guy's commitment of marriage seriously with a "promise" ring? I wouldn't?

(Just so everyone knows, me AND my friend are asking this)
Well, we are more like friends to guys and we don't know how to convince them that we can be more than that. And by the way, we know that you can't make a boy like you, we were just wondering how to make them see us as well not friends...

We were together 11 and married 7. She cheated on me and ended up leaving me for him after being with him for 3 months. It's been a month since she left and we've talked a few times about hooking up once in a while for some no strings attached fun. She admitted that she thought about it once and a while and said that she needed to ponder it a little more. Here in the last week she has been extra flirty and I think she has made up her mind. As much as I want to pay him back for what they did, I am struggling with weather I should stoop to her level or not. Please advise!!!!!!

Well, my boyfriend had been living together for almost 2 years. A few months ago, I lost my job and now he's the only breadwinner. I felt EXTREMELY being at home all day while he pays for all the bills and I'm unable to contribute. Mind you, I'm avidly searching for a job. It's taking a while. So, I returned to my mom's home and I'll be there until I get a job. I don't think I had a choice? What do u guys think?

Sounds kind of interesting, but I'm a little nervous about being tied up to a tree and flogged with a whip. Ok, call me kinky, but it does sound kind of sexy. But what do you think she's needs 5 gallons of gas for?
