we are not arguing about anything we have agreed to what we will split so shouldnt that speed the process up?????

Yep, if you both are on board and no one has any objections, it moves by ALOT quicker. I think if it actually goes to court, it will be a minimum of six months, or longer if there are unresolved issues. Also, I heard that it is possible to go to mediation and have it heard. I'm not totally certain cause I just filed, but I've learned a thing or two......look online. California law is available for the viewing.

If you aren't arguing about anything, have no property or kids, then you should be able to be legally divorced 6mo after you file all the paperwork.

Even if you agree...After all is submitted...Six months. It is law that you have to wait 6 months to make sure no one comes back and contest.

uncontested divorce is faster and easier.

it takes 6 months since the day you file.
