My wife and I separated in November of 2005 after 23 years of marriage. We own 3 properties....no money to speak of, and both have good jobs. I have been paying child support for my two sons ages 15 and 16. Found out yesterday that she had been "laid off" from a job she has held for 5 years. She has more seniority than other people in her office, and the company is a state bridge contractor with plenty of work....company in business for 15 years.
My lawyer is 81 years old and has MS. Her attorney is a shark with a reputation for winning. Any ideas on postponing final hearing, and is this "lay off" thing some kind of legal posturing? As things stand now she wants all three homes and all monies including her retirement account (I left a good job and stayed home for 2 years with my boys so she could get her job....$750.00 per week)

When my partner and I go to his folks house his sister spends the time being petty and immature and its at its worst at dinner.
Things like, knowing that he'll want to sit in a particular seat so she'll sit in it. Knowing that he'll want the last spud so she'll have it and then wait for a reaction. If my partner says something to either of his folks then she's got something to say about his manners or says 'oh shut up no one wants to hear you'
At 1st it was commical to hear her act like a 3 yr old and watch my partner's mum break up the squabling but now Im beginning to think his mother quite enjoys being the hero and I just cringe everytime his sister speaks.
The parents seem to think that they are the adults and my partner and his sister are just children and still treat them so which probably fuels her immaturity even though my partner and I are 24 and his sister is 25.
Ive told my partner that I want to say something but he says its nothing to do with me. What do you think?

How can I get my wife to cook dinner faster? When I come home from work she isn't done cooking my food, so I usually end up have to give her a few light whacks across the face but nothing too serious. why do people see it as so important to get married?
i am trying for a baby with my partner and have had different reactions mostly good but some people just say but your not married.
me and my boyfrined live together, love and trust each other completely. as far as i can see a wedding is a lot of money for a party and a piece of paper. why does us not being married bother people? neither of us are religious and as far as i can see (and divorce rates aggree) just cos ur married it doesnt mean ur more likely to stay together forever.

We've talked on IM for about a month now, and he's really cool and interesting to talk to..he seems really school-orientated (he's a master's student) and just really... normal. I told him I want to meet, but he says we aren't 'compatible'. Problem is, we still talk and it's sort of getting my hopes up that maybe he's 'falling' for me and that we'll meet one day. By the way, he doesn't have a problem with coming here to have casual sex.. but doesn't think it'll lead anywhere else. I'm not stupid enought to do that, even despite how much I 'like' this guy. I am married but I enjoy his companionship and relationship. He did find evidence that his wife has been cheating for over 5 years she keeps denying it. I'm the only one who he feels comfortable talking about it with. He says things have been going good recently with his wife but he is still afraid that the first argument they have or 6 months down the roead she'll go back to him. I like him alot. I am engaged to a wonderful, sweet, goodlooking, charming, hardworking man in Morocco. I am in the USA. I recently went to see him for 10 days, and i have been home a month now..and i am going crazy!! I want to go back to be with him, and wait for his visa to go thru. I am willing to sell my house, and one of my cars to be able to go there with my children. One child is not too happy, but my daughter wants to go. I plan on homeschooling them while we are there. Alright...I found out my ex (who is 23) is writing innappropiate emails on MySpace to a few 16 year old girls. They are all about it. Thing is, my ex is a creeeeeep (why do you think I left him?) and I fear for these girls and them getting mixed up with him. What can I do to protect these girls? Or should I let it be? Me and this guy have been hooking up for a few months now, but just recently I found out he has a girlfriend still. They are almost done and its obvious that they are, but at the same time, they aren't done.

ok, now shes 13 I'm 15. We've been friends since like I wuz 7. Now it is totally obvious, because she makes herself perfectly clear, that she wants nothing more than to be friends. I am respeceting that, and giving her space, we havent talked about it 4 3 weeks. My question is, does she like me at all, or is she scared, cuz she says she doesnt want to ruin a friendship??

But, like a few months ago, it was completely obvious she liked me, I mean people thought we were dating, then she found out I liked her, and she reall backed off. And she told her mom, who she is really close to , that she is really scared, because she doesnt want to take the chance of ruining the friendship. But what should I do/ think:? Because, now she is like totally all over these other guys, like she used to be with me, and it rips my heart out. And please dont tell me I'm to young, I have like many girls, but none like her.
