More often than not, those two will be in line with each other. However, in the few cases where they're not, it's better for you to go with your instincts simply because if it's a love relationship, the heart does not wish to separate you from the one you love and that could cause even more pain than trusting your instincts and trying to find out the truth. Hope that helps

Aren't those the same? Maybe not... Heart. Better to be a person who follows their heart than a person who follows their instincts. Has a nicer ring...

The easy answer to your question is both, and a third option equally. Use your head also. Its amazing how many people go on heart and/or instinct, and don't see the person they are dating is a coke-head, thief, prostitute, moron, cheating bastard, mean, etc. because they are not seeing the relationship or person for what it is or who they are. Use your head (brain), guy (instincts), and passion (heart) together, and you'll go wrong A LOT less.

well you should follow both of them. Is your heart sayin you like him but your instincts sayin you shouldnt? then in that case you should follow your instincts. But if you really like him and your instincts say you should then you should go for it! This is a tough question...
but Good Luck!

For me those go hand in hand. Following my heart is following my instincts.

Looks like I'm pretty much alone in my thinking. It depends on what signals you are basing your instincts on. For me, I would follow my heart. You have to open yourself up to truly experience the fulfillment that love can bring. Attraction is very individual, but if you are attracted then open and honest communication can take it to a further level. Next work on trust and acceptance. You will open yourself to experiencing pain and heartache, but the rewards when you will find a relationship based on open, honest, communication with trust, acceptance, and compassion, will certainly be worth any pain that you've suffered.

I have to say follow your heart, it will never lead you wrong. Now, I'm not saying it won't hurt. Everyone plays the fool sometime or another; read the responses and you'll find that to be fact. Yet, overall you'll learn with an open mind and heart. That's what makes you stronger for the higher mountains to climb.

A little bit of both. Your instincts usually have a more realistic assessment of the situation though. The heart is fickle, and sees only what it wants to see...........

Why might a non secular individual have greater valuable survival instincts and improved will? traditionally, non secular human beings have starved themselves, whipped themselves, sacrificed themselves as martyrs, blown themselves up, been killed in crusades, refused drugs, refused blood transfusions, refused abortions to save their very own lives, dealt with venomous snakes, decrease than the impact of alcohol poison between different self-detrimental issues. So, no.
