Why do you think WOMEN have become so much more superficial in the past 10-15 years?

It used to be that the fairer of the sexes was the good hearted, sweet, soul-searcher who wanted a man with a good heart who was willing to work hard to provide for them both...someone who would be a good father.

In the past 10-15 years it seems that Women have become alarmingly superficial...they're more interested in the guy with six-pack abs and a tan than a guy with a good heart and a good head on his shoulders.

My question is....WHY? Why have looks become so amazingly important to Women all of a sudden?

They always have been for Men--but we're retards. We're just built like that...it's truly innate. Not saying it's all we care about by any means...but we have always been to known to care much more about how a woman looks than vice-versa.

Not sure that's the case any more.

Why do you think that is?? Please try to be honest with your answers, I'm very curious to see what others have to say

ok here is the situation I was with my boyfriend and we actually met online but anyways we havent known each other that long but he loves everything about me so one night he tells me that he loves me all i said was no you dont and i think i made him feel bad but its just i dont want to use the L word if i am not sure about it, but he still tells me that he loves me and i just never say it back because i feel its too soon way to soon. What should i do because i do like him very much and my feeling are getting stronger and the way things are goign i can get to love him i know this but what should i do in the mean time.

I have two friends that are in relaionships that they are extrememly unhappy in. And the only reasons I am getting from them is that they are staying in for the sake of the children...This bothers me alot...I think thats a cop-out...am i wrong to disagree with them?

I called this guy on Friday and he didnt return my call. He's done this before so I vowed to myself that I wouldn't call or text him anymore. Then he calls me yesterday to see what Ive been up to and apologize for not calling over the weekend, he was out of town. Im not sure if it was a courtesy call, or if he wants me to still call him. Should I stick to my vow or is that petty?

Ok i have this friend of mine who is getting way out of line with things. He's married and Im seeing someone and I have told him time and time again to leave me alone but he wont! I fianlly went off on him about two days ago telling him not to talk to me anymore at work or outside of work. He asked me if we could still be friends and I told him no! Now he still won't stop talking to me! he makes every effort to speak to me or see me at work! What more can I do (besides leaving my job or changing my number) to get him to leave me alone????

I admit I have been awful lately and I don't know why... I have some resentment built up towards him he did tell quite a few lies in the beginning and has done things like - left me waiting and shown up over an hour late with no call... now we are having a baby together and he is forcing this relationship to happen.Though I appreciate him stepping up to the plate now I am still a little resentful towards him for some of his past actions... how do I move forward? Should we force this? I am angry with him but then I feel bad about being angry... he is horrible with money and I do not think he comprehends the huge commitment this baby is going to be (he is in his mid thirties, not a teenager FYI)
What can I do? What should I do? Should I work out old problems or move forward?

We are military. We live in military housing. Our only bills are telephone , cable and car insurance which doesn't add up to $200 a month. We have a great military savings account,they've been taking $250 a months out of hubbys check for eight years. We haven't touched it so there is a pretty penny in that account is untouched Our savings account gets $500 a month, the checking is my problem. I spent $10,000 dollars in three months and the only thing I have to show for it is a sofa that only cost $700. Walmart loves me, I think I payed their employees salary for a month. I'm a compulsive shopper. My husband is no help, he thinks since I am such a good housekeeper and mom and take great care of him and the family I derserve it. I don't have an outside job. Maybe I need one to see how hard it is to make a dollar. Help?

I have been reading and talking to alot of people about getting a divorce and they all seemed shocked when I say that is what I want a divorce, and they say divorce is hard and you wont feel as free as you think you should be. Met guy at wedding from another state, we became friends and visited each other in our home states. He stated he wanted to relocate and move in together. We lived together for four months and then all of the sudden he said he did not want to be in a relationship and wa going back home. Reason being he missed his children, but they were at our home at the time.

I am a single mother of four children 2 boys 2 girls 2 fathers the father of my 2 youngest has always taken the 2 oldest as his on heres the problem the boys are 12 and 8 years old they went to there dads for the summer 2 weeks ago my 12 year old calls me @ 10:00pm whispering trying to tell me that his dad told him he could make some fast money and would not even have to do anything
all he would have to do is just stand there well you know where I'm going with this I have to beleive my son thats my job I of course contacted the police now there are detectives involved my ex is trying to say he made a comment to my 12 year old but that is not what he meant how could a comment from a grown man to a child be taken any other way I have lost my job over having to take time to deal with this.please give me some insight on how this sounds thanks everyone
