When is it OK to beat a woman?

Is self defense OK? Say a woman attacks me with a knife or gun, can I punch lights out and be in the right?

I'm not talking about beating my woman because she is being disrespectful; I'm talking about protecting myself from physical harm: she is trying to shoot and stab me. Is that not OK to do something?

If a woman attacks you with a knife or a gun, you're not in a situation where you have any real choice anymore. You must incapacitate her before she can shoot or stab you, lest ye die.

Take your chances in a courtroom with a jury. Shoot her first. Or poke a stick through her eyes into her brain. Or stomp her knee backwards until it breaks. Or bust her skull wide open with a brick. Do WHATEVER you have to do to stay alive.

You said that SHE was attacking YOU. That's important because it means you weren't the villain and so you have a right to defend yourself, even if it means killing her. It also means that you can't afford to "just walk away" because that would mean turning your back on someone who's attacking you: not smart.

You shouldn't assume that you are limited to only unarmed means of self-defense if your attacker is armed. If you have a gun, too, then shoot first. If there are laws against shooting a gun where you are, ignore them. TAKE YOUR CHANCES IN THE COURTROOM WITH THE JURY.

You have to be careful with your words. You said is it ok to BEAT a woman. Beat is to take a belt, a stick, or some kind of object and continuously hitting her. Does not sound like self defense to me. But if a woman attacks you with a knife or gun ( with a gun you will not have time to punch her) I would think you should step away from her and call the police. Now if she is something like Fatal Attraction, then maybe because she is threatening more than you she would be threatening your family.

Hell to the yeah!!!! Only in self defense though. Be sure to call 9-1-1 first. There are women he beat there men and they in silence about it because of pride. But if you feel the need to fight for your safety so be it and you will be in the right. Always remember to talk to a close friend so they can be your witness if need be. But by all means we women are not exempt from a good *** whipen if provoked. Only in self defense. She may be a man beater, you should check with past relationships. to confirm. Do not kill her just restrain her til the cops arrive.

I would say when I'm attacked. If it's a small woman I would hold her until she calms down. If it is a big burly woman, I'm not going to work the next day with a black eye, she is. If the woman has a weapon all bets are off. Go for the take down. Don't end up shot or stabbed.

I find it funny that you people are trying to act non-chauvanistic. Get real. Take the weapon away and block the punches? I signed up just to make a point that I laughed at you. Who the hell cares if its a woman or not. Self defense is self defense. I like how you guys try to play "never touch a woman, theyre fragile flowers" if a girl came up to me throwing punches I'd just punch her lights out. What a paradox, that people complain about womens rights, yet they feel that women shouldn't get treated like guys if they come at you swinging.

This is a very sensitive subject. However my philosophy is the following. Every woman knows where the line is and they cross it at their own will. Myself personally, i don't think I would engage a woman to harm her unless she engaged me for combat. By that I mean, a woman can scratch me, kick me, bite, me, or slap me. But if she just walks up to me and punches me in the face with a closed fist then stands their and waits for me to react??? She wants a fight and one she shall have!! That or if a woman uses a weapon to do real physical harm. At some point you must protect yourself. Ladies sorry, some of you will disagree but if things get to that point, you know exactly what you are doing!

To be honest if i were a man i would be a woman beater for the simple fact that i am a very violent person. But since I'm not...my suggestion is. If she does try to stab you with a knife or shoot you with a gun try to take the knife/gun away from her and then call the police to haul her off to jail, for attempted assault with a deadly weapon/attempted murder. etc

One ... you don't beat anyone in self defense. You do whatever it takes to get out of the situation and call the police. There is never a good reason for beating anyone.

Everyone should be able to defend themselves, the gray area is to what degree is it defending yourself and when does it cross over to retaliation?

If you knock the weapon from someones hands and take the treat away and then continue to beat the snot out of him ... that might be seen as retaliation and not self defense.

A fine line ... one that I hope to never have to decide on!

Well, hunny the thing is that when you touch another person that we'll be held against you even self deffense beleive me it's not worth it, just runaway and call the cops immeadiatly! Beleive me o yeah try to get a good descrption and area of the place that you have been around when that happens! Also, you should try to get some I.D. maybe the women has a purse!

I believe that should it be under attack from a knife or a gun, to me it should be ok, whether the courst and cops see it that way is another story. but i would NEVER hit a woman unless my life was being threatened by her.
