I used weddingchannel.com for a lot of ideas etc. I then ordered stuff from them. Note to all brides to be--- they are great for ideas, photos, articles etc. but don't order merchandise from them, I ordered bracelets for my bridesmaids and they didn't come in on time due to their lack of telling me they were back ordered, I was left high and dry with no gift for my bridesmaids the day of my wedding, luckily I have understanding girls but I cancelled the order and fought with them for 4 weeks before getting my money back. I reccomend checking with the Better Business Bureau online before ordering anything for your wedding. Come to find out Weddingchannel.com has a BBB rating of an F! Had I known that I wouldn't have ordered.
Other than that www.theknot.com has the same type of info as weddingchannel.com also talk to other brides about their experiences and ideas that they used. Bridal magazines are helpful. I reccomend stretching your planning out over the course of a year, that's what I did and it worked out wonderfully, I was never too stressed, don't get me wrong there was stress but nothing too bad! Just don't save anything until the last minute and you should be fine. :)
Relax and enjoy the planning and the wedding, it all flies by before you know it!
Congrats and good luck!

I would suggest making a Must Do List. Carefully write out important things like getting out invitations, meeting the caterer, cake person and the music people. Just follow through with each task one at a time. You are getting married and this should be a blissful time in your life. Just don't stress it. Try a web site like The Wedding Channel, it's helped me immensely. I'm tying the knot September 2 of this year. Yay!

Go to theknot.com they have a wonderful planning guide. Timelines to help you get started and budgeting tools. If you live in a larger city they can also point you in the direction of a good caterer, seamstress, etc.
Congrats and good luck!!
