How did you meet your current boyfriend or husband?

Do women have a natural maternal instinct or are some women destined not to become mothers by choice? Some of my friends and I were discussing this, those with kids thought that those who had not had any, were a little strange. What are your thoughts on this?

I am meeting a guy today that seems very nice and stuff and we are meeting today. I know you should't judge a person by what they wear and we do live in a hot climate but the fact that he said he is wearing shorts kinda bothers me. We are only meeting for a casual date and it is ok to wear shorts there but I just feel a person should dress a little better for a date. I always try to put an effort in and wish I could meet a guy who would do the same. Why can't a guy put on a pair of pants and a halfway decent shirt and not baseball hat? I think shorts are for the beach and outside and not in very good taste when meeting someone for the first time. People say it is important to be comfortable and I agree to some extent but there has to be a line between comfort and being dressed decent.

About a month ago, she returned from a week long trip to Bonaroo and told me that she believed that someone else was her soulmate. A man that she's known for 13 years! I've got a lot of frustration, anger, and sadness that I'm dealing with because of this situation.

However, I do have some hope that she'll want to be with me. She's said that she needs some time to "figure out what she's doing with her life". This time will include a trip to see this man who lives 1400 miles away. Clearly, I am choice number 2. As much as it hurts to know this, I still want to be a supportive, loving part of her life.

I'm working hard at just being her "friend" right now. However, I also am sad and a bit obsessed with her and I hate that feeling.

How do I deal with my own feelings, emotions, and life and remain a supportive, loving person to her?

Hi i have a question maybe its been sked by someone but anyway.
Me and my gf had a baby then she left me. She asked for public assistance Court ordered me to pay child support, she also sent baby to another country. So is it possible to me to get a custody of a child even though we were not married??????
It is in NY state.

Im getting married Friday July 4th, 2008. I know i have plenty of time but would like to get some in put. I fell in love with this wedding dress that has some red embroidery in it. Its not a lot but it has a touch of red. Do you think the bridesmaids should wear red? I dont know what colors to do. And I dont want a red white and blue theme. Thanks.

Trying to clarify here: children don't live with us but with his ex, we never see them.
I am totally capable to support myself living on my own, but I would loose a great partner, we get along great, he has a lot great qualities. My son is not losing but only winning from his influence. He is also putting up with some things that other people wouldn't. But he is very suspicious,I can't socialize with anybody cuz he doesn't like it. He has no friends either. Please, give me some mature answers, it's not one way situation. It's not as simple as it sounds.

For example, my sister's wedding is coming up and she's decided to go to the salon with me and literally get anything that i'm getting done. She's going to wear what i'm going to wear (hopefully she'll at least change the color). She totally annoyed me 3 years ago at my older sister's wedding, when she did just what she's planning to do now that my younger sister is getting married.

Ladies if a guy at target starts talking with you calmly, it turns out he's pretty funny and chill is it RUDE for him to take a RISK and ask you out? I've met some very cute women at target and they are always very nice and I'll usually have a question about what to buy and usually they are more than happy to share thier knowledge of products and then one convo leads to a different convo and I just feel like it would be rude to say "Hey some friends and I are going to be here you are more than welcome to bring some of your people and kick it" But I want to because it's not bar and ususally women are so nice there.
