For example, my sister's wedding is coming up and she's decided to go to the salon with me and literally get anything that i'm getting done. She's going to wear what i'm going to wear (hopefully she'll at least change the color). She totally annoyed me 3 years ago at my older sister's wedding, when she did just what she's planning to do now that my younger sister is getting married.
I'm 21 and she's 38. Can someone please give me some advice on how to make her realize that she's not 21 anymore and she needs to dress and act her age? I don't want to hurt her feelings, but I really think she needs to wake up....

I feel sorry for you. I bet it makes you want to avoid these family gatherings. Why don't you play a trick on her? Since it sounds like she already has seen what you are wearing, why don't you get another outfit and return the first one. That way, she'll think she is dressing like you and then you'll show up in something totally different. While I'm sure some people will say that you should be flattered that she trusts your judgement, I think she is being creepy. Can your mom (or dad) talk with her and tell her that she needs to start acting her age? If not, then you might need to be the one that tells her.

If she isn't married, tell her that men like older women who are more sophisticated. I personally find it to be kind of sad when women look and dress like their 21. I saw a women in her 60s the other day dressing like that and it just grosses me out.
Be polite about however you put it to her, I think she'll appreciate it in the end and be glad you did. Even if she resents it at first.

Don't let her follow you around and let her do her thing. Make sure that you take a lot of pictures of her. A picture can say a thousand words.

looks like SHE has the problem but it is annoying you
remember that age appropriate clothes for your age are different for her age so you will look good and she will look silly ...get something different to accessorize your outfit but don't tell/show her and ask your mom to talk to her
