Family & Relationships - 29 June 2006

My grandma died last Sunday and I was really sad and messed up for the first 2 or 3 days but I know she was suffering and is better off now. Work gives me 3 days bereavement, but I can work through the day without a breakdown and feel pretty normal. If I was at home, I would just play with the dog or watch TV or something.

Is it right for me to take the days they give me away from work even though I don't need them to grieve and would just be using them like vacation days?

well he ask if we could be friends but i want more then that and he is getting marryed now and it hurts me i keep saying it should have been me and i cry myself to sleep every night and i dream about him and wake up sometimes crying my eyes out i have tryed to move on and date other people but they do me wrong like say i have to have sex with them sick crap like that and when that happens i get to thinking about how sweet my ex"s was to me he respcted me alot were others have not i still love him so much and miss him alot i miss haveing some one to hold me in there arms but mostly his arms it hurts so much to know he is getting marryed see he wanted to be friends because his job got in the way why is it when i find a nices sweet guy like him there job gets in the way please help tell me what to do i send him a wedding card in the mail trying to be nices but i am hurting my heart says he is the right guy for me and he is the only one for me i thought i could stop looking??? help??????

i just asked for advice on what books to read before having a child and all but one answer was something on the order of: ''don't read books because children don't come with instructions'' or ''books won't help... give them love, you can't raise a kid by a book'' or ''read the bible'', is anybody else taken seriously here? Or are there people that actually raise kids with a manual somewhere and thats why this would be a concern?

I'm East Indian, and I just wanted to have a sort of general opinion what you girls thought about men of that race?
