The internet can provide the means to find love.
I met my partner on yahoo personals. We e-mailed and texted for about a month before we finally met and found out so much about each other through the mails. Sometimes it's easier to express yourself and put your true thoughts in writing and therefore get a more intimate feeling about each other and their principles. However, there are some that do lie .... but people can tell lies in the flesh too!
We are both really happy together as before we met, we knew each others' opinions on so many subjects. When we met, it just felt like we had known each other forever.
Good luck but make sure if you do meet someone from the net then keep yourself safe!

I don't have a definite answer for you but I'll share my experience:

I'm 24 yrs old. About 7 months ago I joined a dating website. I'm not sure what I was thinking at the time cause I always thought that sort of stuff was silly. Anyway, I guess I was lonely and bored that day. (I had just recently gotten out of a horrible 3 1/2 yr relationship) So I get a message from this guy one day telling me he read my profile and was interesting in getting to know a bit more about me. So I emailed him back; the whole time thinking to myself "what the hell are you doing???" But I put my skepticism aside and went for it. We emailed each other for about a couple of months then I decided to call him one day just to see what he was like on the phone before I could decide whether or not I would want to meet him one day. Needless to say we are together right now and very much in love. We live together and plan on getting married in the future. It's funny how things work out how you least expect them to.

My advice would be (assuming you are old enough to do this). Use your judgment and keep in mind that not everyone out there is honest about who they are and what their intentions are. You never know who is on the other side! I would say go for it but be careful.

I met the guy of my dreams that way, I'm sure you can too.

Good luck :)

I think internet love can be real, though it is not complete.

You can meet someone with whom you fall in love. This person can have qualities that you admire and be very much the person you would pick to be with, however you are only getting to know the parts of their personality and heart that can be communicated through the medium you are using. You can't see how they treat other people in their lives, or how neat or messy they are, and you only see them at their best--at the times they choose to communicate with you. The times that they are hard to live with can be spent with the people who really live near them.
It's hard to do this, but try to keep in mind that it is real love, but not well-informed real love, so it has some pretty confining limits.

How can you find real love online?
Don't look for it--that's when it seems to find you.

yes, it is! I met my fiance on the internet, in a chat room. That was three years ago and now we live together and are very happy! There are loads of different chat rooms, I would find someone on there who you feel comfortable talking with, and take it from there! I would keep it clean for a while tho, or they will lose respect for you.

If you decide to meet someone in person, tell at least one person where you're going, and meet them at a busy place, like a train station.

Good luck!

There's no way to really tell.....you just have to try it for yourself. I met my fiance over the internet. We traded phone #s and spoke on the phone. We ended up meeting (in a public place of course) and hit it off great! After 4 years we're still together and will be getting married next year. So I would say it IS real, but there's no true way to find it. It finds you.

NO! you can write and say anything. YOu can be anyone you want to be when it comes to online chatting. YOu never really know who you are talkin to on the internet. It is just wishful thinking. It might be a good way to meet people and then get to know them personally, but as far as a complete online relationship, NO.

it depends. i think that if you eventually talk on the phone, then it could be, but you cant just stay on the internet your whole life. i met this guy on the internet last year. he lives in north carolina, and i live in illinois. we started talking, and dating. eventually we did break up, but he is an amazing friend to have. it is better to have someone that is physically close to you, but if you want a realtionship that isnt based on looks or sex alone, then an internet realtionship is great. but that is just me. dont giveout any info about you unless you KNOW that they are who they say they are for sure. but like yea, good luck.

I know a very happy couple who met online. Sometimes it works out quite well. However, it's just like dating; you have to actually take the steps to make things happen. Try signing up for one or more of the online dating services and follow through with it. You never know!
