We met at work...both married and both unhappily married. We had an affair and he left his wife and I was going to leave my husband but could never do it and I really don't know why other than the fear of finding out real love. We broke it off because he didn't want to wait and I don't blame him. I still love the man and he said I will always be special to him but needed to move on to find what he truly wants....I know he's dated and I shouldn't care but I do and this whole event sucks. Yes I know having the affair was wrong but I live with an controlling person who tells me how to live my life, wants me to like everything he likes and he drinks heavily. I don't live with my spouse anymore....not out of guilt but to remove myself from the pain. I just don't understand why I couldn't move on to the other man who I still care about tremendously.

if they love eachother....can a good friendship become a great relationship if the two people are complete opposites....

I believe that i was a little too general with the "changes" part of my question, so here are more details....

What if what the woman was trying to change wasnt his personality or anything major that would take away from the man being himself?....let's say she just wanted him to just make "better choices", when it came to their relationship....

Like for example, he has chosen to not call the woman at least once a day....actually he once let days pass before he even called or txted to see if she was atleast alive....and what if the woman wanted him to make time for her?....which he never does...and what if she wanted him to show more affection and worry about her?....
Someone please tell me, can a woman influence/ change a man to be a better man to her???....treated as she desreves to be treated?.....

I am a woman - and hate the irational thoughts that build up in my head-

my other friends look at me as if i am mean. the only thing i do is to tell them facts. they ask a question and i give them the answer but still they say i come out straight. like for example : one of them ask me why i don't talk that much with them. i told her that 50% of what they say is repetition .they all got angry and decided to put me off. but i am not worried about that. they all just want to know why i have this sense of thinking like that. all i told them was that the truth is bitter and it is needed to be said. can you all help me to tell them people have different ways of answering questions.

What should I do about this? I am trying 2 divorce my wife and another woman that I have met treats me like and wants me to be with her. I would like to thank everyone that answered the question and you all have some good points most of them I've tried! I'm not a demanding person and very reasonable I talk with my wife I listen to my wife. The 25% of my days off are spent cleaning the house and mowing the lawn. She has no envolement with this she don't want to do it! The house is a total wreck when I get home! I NEVER COMPLAIN! Sometimes I think she's glad to see me go back to work! Now I'm very far from being Gods gift to women, but I am that man who listens! Doesn't complain! Don't mind doing house work! I make a 6 digit figure at work, I pay ALL the bills including her's. She does work, but that's only because she wants to.
