September Wedding. Had you considered something out of doors? This can range from a back yard affair to something more elaborate involving canoes, hot air balloons ,horses and carriages, you name it.

The idea I like best is the wedding picnic. Your guests arrive casually attired to a scenic location, perhaps a meadow, or beside a lake or whatever you like. As they arrive they are handed a picnic basket and a blanket, or perhaps it's B.Y.O. Blanket. They then spread out around the grounds and enjoy the scenery, the company and the food. If you have money for musicians, great! If not, it won't matter very much at a picnic.

If you like this idea you can make it as inexpensive as you need to. You can have a friend take pictures and/or video or get someone from a local art school or college program to help you. You can make up the baskets yourself. Some wine or champagne, cheese, fresh fruit, cold chicken, whatever you like. Your friends and family are sure to enjoy this unless they are complete snobs.

As far as your dress goes, you will want something unstructured so you can be comfortable and free. Check consignment stores, vintage shops, the newspaper and e-Bay. If you want a new dress, consider purchasing one of the nicer bridesmaid's dresses or any dress that is not labeled "wedding gown."

Obviously, there are a lot of variations to this picnic theme. You can have a woodsey kind of wedding, something at the beach, something under the stars. Use your imagination and I guarantee you will have a much more soulfull experience than if you rent the typical hall, wear a cheap bridal gown, and dye-to-order shoes.

Weddings are a multi-million dollar industry but who really wants the kind of wedding shown in "The Wedding Singer" That is what you usually get after going into debt.

If you end up having a home wedding, you can use the money you would have spent on the restaurant to make home improvments before the reception. Do some planting, perhaps some painting, whatever is needed. You'll enjoy these things for years to come.

Best Wishes!

I am getting married next weekend at the Jersey Shore. The Seagulls Nest in Sandy Hook overlooking the beach. It is 75 dollars a person but if you have a small wedding it is still pretty reasonable. It includes everything. I bought a Prom dress that is off white and looks just like a wedding gown. Bead work and all and it cost me 125.00 Group USA in Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth has alot of dressy white prom dresses. Hope this helps

How about a place cld David's Bridal they are nationwide and are probably in your area.....Also, I am a size 18 so I know they will be able to help you. In fact right now until July 24th they have a $99.00 bridal gown sale going on. You may be able to find some beautiful gowns this way. A lot of other women have. Best wishes...

Check out Yours Forever Bridal in Voorhees New Jersey. I was just in there and they have all of their Maggie Sottero Sample gowns on sale. Great prices and the dresses are SO MUCH better than Davids. Plus they will help you there. Davids won't help at all.

stay away from Davids Bridal. I used to work there and they will try to screw you at every turn because of the close time pinch. Ebay is a great place to look or a local bridal salon will most likely have somehting off the rack. Good luck and God Bless!

Okay it is definately not too late as the first poster said. You could get a custom made dress in 10 weeks. However on a budget you have some good choices as well as www.bridalonlinestore.com they are really cheap!

Well if you were gonna order you dress it is too late!!
I work at a dress shop at which wedding dresses are sold if you order you dress it need to be done 4-6 months in advance.
I would Suggest that you check out e-bay.
