my other friends look at me as if i am mean. the only thing i do is to tell them facts. they ask a question and i give them the answer but still they say i come out straight. like for example : one of them ask me why i don't talk that much with them. i told her that 50% of what they say is repetition .they all got angry and decided to put me off. but i am not worried about that. they all just want to know why i have this sense of thinking like that. all i told them was that the truth is bitter and it is needed to be said. can you all help me to tell them people have different ways of answering questions.

you need to be yourself. you should continue to speak your mind. if they can't handle it, then they're not worth keeping as friends. if you can't be open and honest with them, then who can you be?

I am a bit like that as well and you are right, honesty is always the best policy. However, you don't say how old you are but you seem pretty young and as you get older, it becomes apparent to you that, although you still tell the truth always, there are certain ways to phrase things so that you don't hurt other peoples feelings or come across as being plain rude! You might think that this sounds like cra* but unfortunately, there are some folk who are totally over-sensitive and in the real world you will usually find that these people end up being your Boss or your Mother-In-Law. Maybe softening the acidity of one's bitter truths is not to shield them but to stop you from living your life constantly at war with everyone!!

Don't stop being truthful but do try to think before you come out and say things which can be misconstrued as nasty or hurtful or otherwise you might end up very lonely.

Best of luck!

My opinion is that if these people are really your friends, you will learn to take their feelings into consideration before you speak. There are ways to say what you are feeling in a tactful manner without coming across as harsh or blunt. If you don't care how your words affect those around you, then maybe you don't really see them as friends, but if you do care, then maybe try answering a question in your mind before you say it out loud.

While it would be great, not everyone can appreciate having things straight forward. While your honesty is good, part of being a good friend is to sometimes just deal with things even if they are stupid and annoying.

Your just very honest. It's hard to find someone like that and most people are used to people worrying about hurting someone's feelings so they lie.

It isn't your fault if they can't handle the truth. There is nothing wrong with being truthful and direct, but there is something to be said for "If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all."
