I have a wonderful relationship with my parents. Sure we fight. But they give me freedom, and I think this is so important because with out freedom, how can you even seek the love of your parents?

Growing up, I didn't have such a great relationship with them. I didn't get a long with my mom and hardly ever spoke to my dad. But now that I'm an adult, I look back at those years and it makes me sad. I wish things would have been different growing up. I was stubborn and didn't realize "it was only for my own good." Now I live away from home and wish I could see them everyday. I love my parents to death and don't know what I would do without them. I hate to think that one day that day will come.

I have always been close to my mother, I still am. My father was an alcoholic, but quit drinking when I was 22. I got married about 15 years ago at the age of 25 and moved four hours away. I got closer to my dad after I moved away. He just died a couple of months ago and I miss him tremendously. My mother is the best, would not change one thing about her. If I can be half the mother to my child that my mom is to me, I will be doing a great job raising my son.

I wish I had a relationship with my parents - Mom gone 18+ years, Dad gone 3 years.

Do whatever you can to make a good solid relationship with them because once their gone, there's no getting them back!

You can not make up for time passed but you can make good with the time you and/or they have left!

My daughter has never known any of her grandparents so with her I lived each day to the fullest - so at least we'll have that quality time together that I missed with my parents.........

I have a wonderful relationship with my parents, it wasn't always like that but since I have grown up (age 44 now) I have learned to respect them and have come to realize just what sacrafices they have made all these years of raising me ( you know what I mean, I have been on my own since I was 19, my choice) anyways, my parents are awesome and wouldn't want any other parents ever.

My relationship with my mother is fantastic! I trust her with everything....we are very close and think the world of one another. We love eachother greatly. My relationship with my father is not so great. I didnt grow up with him and i met him for the first time like 5 months ago. He is very distant and gives no effort in trying to get to know me or even spend quality time with me. Maybe thats the way he shows his love....i dont know....so my relationship with my parents is 50 percent good and the other 50 percent not so good.

Much better now that I'm older and don't live at home. I'd say it's pretty good now. Of course they still do the parent-y obnoxious questions and stuff, but I can actually talk to them on the phone and have a good conversation, and have a nice visit when I go to their house.

I have a great relationship now. Especially with my Dad. When I was younger, I could not stand him. But, now that I am older. It is a lot better. I appreciate everything he has ever done for me.
