Anything that takes hours of painting and trimming etc. is easier to believe to be beautiful. If you sand down the rough spots and put a nice glaze on (metaphorically or literally) it will quite often be considered beautiful.
So yes, simple natural beauty is much more "stunning", that is, SURPRISINGLY beautiful.

Oh it can be...I've recently seen a women who had a very simply dress draped over a body that literally made my mouth water...it allowed my imagination to know that what I could see was all that...such full curves, natural beauty...spaghetti straped dress, didn't reveal alot of skin, so form fitted, you knew she had nothing else underneath but Bam! all women....stunning!
