i just asked for advice on what books to read before having a child and all but one answer was something on the order of: ''don't read books because children don't come with instructions'' or ''books won't help... give them love, you can't raise a kid by a book'' or ''read the bible'', is anybody else taken seriously here? Or are there people that actually raise kids with a manual somewhere and thats why this would be a concern?

Yeah - they are stupid. Dr. Spock used to have some good books. And you can always ask an OB/GYN some recommended reading. Also, don't forget librarians are a great source for telling you good books to read. Good luck!

I don't assume anything... If people is making questions here... well it's a way to interact with people you don't know and you're not afraid to ask things....
Actually, I think everyone's free to ask wathever they want to... and that doesn't make them stupid...

I dont think there stupid...all the questions i have answered are funny and the ppls who ask them are just joking around. But sometimes ppls can be stupid......

Some people are just mean or bored or both... The Internet is somewhere they know they can go to be mean to others because it is not face-to-face. Just ignore them... : )
