I mean ,I don't believe in this Global Warming crap, but lets say for arguement purposes, that the USA stopped producing any green house gases and we are one of the cleanest enviromental countries on earth, how would that help, if China, Russia, Africa, South America and half of the continent of Europe didn't stop producing green house gases, would you libs want to declare war on these nations to make them clean up their act. I just don't get it, what the USA does alone cannot stop the so called Global Warming, but if it's really Global Warming, then why has NASA said that the temp. on Mars has risen in the past 3 years, maybe it's universe warming, maybe the Sun is burning hotter for a few years or burning hotter, before it burns OUT all together and we are no longer a universe, because we will all freeze to death

Did you know that Japanese slaughtering innocent animals for enjoyment and food that they don't need? Dolphins and whales for food like sushi and sashimi? What should we do to stop this in the international concerned community, to stop mindless Japanese overfishing?

Please respond with care and view the video on YouTube searching for Dolphin Slaughter to get information on prevention. The difference between killing whales and dolphins in the ocean vs. pigs and cows and chickens is that the very balance of the ecosystem and seperation of slaughtering wild animals to those contained and created on fams must be observed before posting.

Than please post. Thank you for taking the time to answer this question.

The older generations have selfishly and carelessly completely destroyed the global environment, the rain forests and animal species.... all in a glutinous orgy of self-serving consumerism with absolutely no regard for future generations.

While on vacation last summer, my family and I went whale watching. There was a marine biologist onboard who informed us that for every cigarette butt thrown into the water, 1 cubic meter of ocean water was contaminated and poisoned the whales and marine life in general.

Most people empty out their ashtrays in the toilet (we all know where that ends up) or they simply throw it on the ground. The chemicals found in cigarettes then seeps into the soil and eventually ends up in the same place... the water!

My question is: Since cigarettes aren't biodegradable, how can we dispose of them without affecting the marine life.

This is a question regarding something I was thinking about today. You know how we're having hybrid cars nowadays? Prius, etc...Well, since the military uses x amount of oil to fuel their tanks, planes, armored vehicles...Do any of you see any kind of way to make a military arsenal "green"?

So a tank that does not have to run on oil, a fighter jet that does not have to run on jet-fuel, etc? I am just extremely curious. Answers can be factual, or theoretical!

Thanks!

Hilton Head Island Beach Regulations state> It is illegal to remove, harm, or harass any live beach fauna (sea turtles, sand dollars, conchs, starfish, etc.). Question is: How do you know when sand dollars, conchs, and starfish are alive?? It may sound dumb to some but my girlfriend collects these on the beach and I told her that it is illegal; She says they are dead. Truthfully, we do not know how to tell.

Could you guys please tell me what hot springs, geysers, and geothermal energy HAVE to do with volcanic activity?

Vocabulary- in case people need it-
* Geyser- A geyser is a type of hot spring that erupts periodically, ejecting a column of hot water and steam into the air.

* Geothermal Energy/power- Geothermal power is the use of geothermal heat to generate electricity. It is often referred to as a form of renewable energy, but because the heat at any location can eventually be depleted it is by definition not strictly renewable.

Thanks!
