Environment - March 2007

The scientists are telling us that if we (meaning us humans), do not cut down on carbon emmisions and other greenhouse gases by 2050 or there abouts,then dear little old earth is going to be in deep trouble and us with it. I for one do think this is a very real possibility yet there are those who say its a load of rubbish. So as an added dimension to the debate, how would you deal with the greenhouse problem?. Get your thinking caps on people. Genuine solutions wanted here.

Scientist have discovered that the climates on Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto are in warming trends similar to Earth.

Does this cast doubt on the whole global warming debate?
Or is this just happenstance?
Is mankind causing climate change intergalactically? (Don't answer this one.)

Why don't people get it. Heck, why don't goverments regulate it. When there is such a problem is global warming, why doesn't enforce stricter stipulations when manufacturing car's , building polution, water polution etc... I feel they are not putting enough pressure. We realize that we have created a mess why doesn't everyone focus on making things better or slow down the process of global warning. Why can't we just boycott things that will cause damage to our ONE AND ONLY EARTH?

I dont belive in global warming, I mean, most scientists dont belive in god, he only knows the truth, there has already been a hole in the place for a long time, uumm what else, what if our timing is wrong??? and in New Jersey it got the coldest its ever been this year, I thought it was suppose to get hotter!!!

is the global warming issue is a cover story for the fact were running out of oil and gas and is a gentle way of getting consumers to cut back by fooling them into thinking they are doing their bit without an all out panic whilst the top powers decide how to get us out of this mess
without fossill fuels were up a gum tree hence the move to secure iraq's oil fields to buy us more time
when the oil and gas are all gone will the government tax us on logs we burn to keep warm
how green is that?
how will the general public survive without oil?
will all these vast voids we are causing below earth due to oil extraction cause it to wobble like a car tyre does when its out of balance and effect global warming as well?
