Eight days ago, the challenge was issued to debate at Oxford University Library at a date of Gore's choosing. Al Gore hasn't even acknowledged the challenge. Why?

Al Gore has refuse to debate with anyone on global warming. He has pulled out of interviews when he is told they will have a skeptic on with him. He even refused to testify to the US Congress until there was a Democratic majority.

The answer is simple, Gore knows that he is wrong on some things, instead of admitting his errors he refuses to be put in a positions when they could be proven wrong. Obviously he thinks that having global warming hysteria is more important then getting to the real scientific facts. He has said before, he does not see a problem with exaggerating certain facts if it causes people to act.

To fairly show the division in the scientific community, it would have to be a weird debate.

100 (or more) guys on one side, one on the other.

Skeptics cite individually the few scientists who disagree. That global warming is a fact is the position of the vast majority of climatologists, because of the data. Proof:

"the question of global warming was settled years ago for all but a few holdouts in the scientific community"

He's too busy warming the globe with his ego and chooses not to have it burst.
