Some cultures have to change.
Cruelness is not culture.
Some people are just too ignorant to understand.

To explain, whales are used for meals. Dolphins are simply in the best way of the tuna fishermen. In phrases of exerting have an impact on nevertheless, the west has already controlled to curtail their fishing of whales by way of over eighty% of eighty's stages (whale is now lovely tough to get right here and high priced) and pressured them to undertake most of the dolphin nontoxic practices that the U.S. makes use of. The most effective ones nonetheless griping are left-wing alarmists. Niether species is approximately to vanish from the planet. Believe it or no longer, the Japanese have a vested curiosity in considering the fact that niether accomplish that. They have engaged in overfishing ago, however it is not close to the obstacle it used to be two decades in the past.

ive seen that video a couple weeks ago and yea i agree it's cruel, but i think it's a culture thing.
I also saw a video somewhere explaining how we only care about the animals that mean something to us...such as dolphins, tigers, elephants....basically the cute, smart, cuddlier animals that symbolizes something in our lives...but there are also animals out there that are near extinction who don't nearly get enough attention as the one's that we view as more important.
I wish they'd stop the slaughtering of such peaceful animals too, but telling them to stop hunting a food source they've been eating for years, is the same as telling north americans to stop eating chicken and beef. Yes, cows and chickens are more abundent than dolphins, but the way they are treated and killed aren't any more humane than dolphin slaughter.

I doubt that they don't need the food. Where did you get that idea? Animals are eaten by other animals as well as by humans. It's called "the food chain". What do you mean by "innocent animals"? The moral concept of guilt and innocence is strictly something created by humans in order to bring order to society. It has nothing to do with animals. There is no such thing as an "innocent" or "guilty" animal. Your empathy is laudable, but apply it to human beings, where it properly belongs.

How dare you judge their centuries old traditions and dietary customs. It's regulated enough-let them enjoy their dolphin/whale harvest.
Besides, whale is delicious-the meat is more like fatty beef then fish (mammal, makes sense...)
